End-of-Year Class Activities
As is customary at Bel Ombre Primary School, our classes wrapped up the school year with meaningful end-of-term activities that celebrated learning, friendship, and togetherness.
For their end-of-year outing, P1(2) enjoyed a lunch at Gran Kaz Restaurant, Bel Ombre, followed by fun moments at the beach and a gift-exchange activity. We extend our sincere thanks to all parents for their continued support, not only for making this activity a success, but throughout the entire year.
Similarly, P3(2) marked the end of term with their class activity at Casadani on Thursday, 4th December 2025, creating joyful memories as they closed another school chapter together.
These moments reflect the strong partnership between school and home, and the importance of celebrating milestones in our pupils’ journey.

Bel Ombre Pupils Shine on the International Stage
Seychelles recently celebrated a proud sporting moment as a team of 15 karatekas, led by their Chief Instructor, returned from the Regional Championship in South Africa and the European Championship in Athens, Greece.
We are especially proud to share that two Bel Ombre School pupils — Jamil Yaman and Kyle Anacoura — were part of this national team, gaining valuable experience and showcasing strong discipline throughout the competitions.
Across both events, the Seychelles delegation achieved a remarkable 48-medal total, demonstrating outstanding commitment and skill:
🥇18 Gold
🥈18 Silver
🥉12 Bronze
These achievements highlight the growing talent within our youth and the dedication of the coaches who guide them.
💬 Let’s cheer them on! What words of encouragement would you like to share with Jamil, Kyle, and the team?

🌊 Building Confidence Early
Our Crèche pupils have recently started their swimming lessons — a wonderful new initiative aimed at helping children develop essential water safety and confidence from an early age.
Every Thursday, the little ones attend classes at a private swimming facility in Bel Air, guided by a certified instructor who ensures their experience is safe, fun, and full of learning.
Starting young helps children grow not only as swimmers but also in self-assurance, discipline, and trust — qualities that will benefit them far beyond the pool.
💬 What do you think about introducing swimming at such an early age? Let us know in the comments — we’d love to hear your thoughts!

📚 Getting Ready for Exams!
With exams coming up this Tuesday and Wednesday, here are some simple and effective study tips to help our learners feel confident, calm, and fully prepared:
📌 1. Make a Study Plan
Break subjects into small daily portions and follow a realistic timetable.
📌 2. Use Active Recall
Don’t just read — test yourself.
Cover your notes and try explaining the topic in your own words or use flashcards.
📌 3. Practice Past Papers
Set a timer, answer exam-style questions, and learn from your mistakes.
📌 4. Take Short Breaks
Study for 25–30 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. It helps your brain stay fresh.
📌 5. Keep Notes Simple
Use bullet points, diagrams, and highlight only the most important keywords.
📌 6. Teach Someone Else
If you can explain a topic clearly, you truly understand it!
📌 7. Create a Good Study Environment
Find a quiet, well-lit space — and keep your phone far away.
📌 8. Stay Healthy
Drink water, eat light snacks, and get good sleep.
We believe in our pupils — every bit of effort counts! ✨

🪶 Keeping Culture Alive Through Play
During Festival Kreol Week, our pupils enjoyed a lively Physical Education session exploring traditional Creole games — Set Ros and Granmanman Bebe.
🪨 Set Ros, inspired by the game of “Seven Stones,” had pupils teaming up to stack and defend stones while others aimed to knock them down.
👵 Meanwhile, Granmanman Bebe, a song-based circle game rooted in our oral traditions, filled the school grounds with laughter, rhythm, and connection — a joyful reminder of how storytelling and play preserve our Seychellois heritage.
Through these activities, pupils not only learned about local traditions but also discovered the value of teamwork, respect, and cultural pride.
