We are bursting with pride! Our talented students recently took to the stage at the Seychelles National Library’s 3rd Edition Read Aloud Competition, and they truly stole the show. 🌟

A massive congratulations to our winners:

🥇 Alkirra Forte – 1st Place (P1-P2 Category)

🥈 Dulya Madapathage – 2nd Place (P3-P4 Category)

🥉 Kian Moncherry – 3rd Place ( P5-P6 Category)

We also want to give a huge round of applause to Khiara Zialor, Jahnilla Payet, and Christee Rapide, who participated and represented our school with such confidence.

World Book Day Rewards! 🏆

Huge cheers in assembly this morning! Today, May 18th, we celebrated our World Book Day champions from last term. 🌟

A massive well done to the classes that went above and beyond , not only transforming their classrooms into scenes from their favorite books but also brilliantly presenting their chosen characters to the school! 🎭📖

Congratulations also to the individual pupils rewarded for their incredible dress-up efforts. Your creativity truly brought the stories to life! 🦸‍♂️✨

Celebrating success at our Prize Giving Ceremony! 🎓✨

Friday, May 15th was a truly special day as we honored our Primary Six class for their incredible achievements over the past year.

The atmosphere was also a testament to our dedicated teachers, whose passion and guidance have truly shaped these young minds. Together with our supportive partners, we gathered to witness this important milestone.

We are so proud of every pupil who received their certificate. Their hard work clearly showed, with students being rewarded for securing A to C grades across their academic subjects!

As we celebrate Educational Day tomorrow, we took time today to come together as one school family over a shared lunch in the dining room.

It was a heartfelt moment to welcome some members of our former teaching staff, whose presence reminded us that the heart of our school lives on through every season.

Over good food, shared stories, and laughter, bonds were strengthened and memories revisited.

Each guest received a small token of appreciation, a simple thank you for the dedication, service, and impact that continue to shape our school community.

Education is not only found in books, but in relationships, gratitude, and togetherness.

Today, some members of staff at La Retraite Primary School wore orange in solidarity with Orange Day.
Standing up against violence and supporting the call for a safer future for women and girls. 🧡

By wearing orange, we join the national message that violence has no place in our homes, schools, or communities.

Together, we continue to nurture values of respect, kindness, and protection for everyone, starting with the children we serve every day.
