Ksu_spe

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and we say field experience is worth a thousand text books. In compliance with this philosophy, Spe Ksu Chapter organizes a field trip for students from various departments at جامعة الملك سعود - King Saud University to an oil rig located in Khurais that is owned by Saudi Aramco. Every part of/process on the rig (site) was explained in close proximity with proper PPE and safe conduct. Great knowledge was shared and many misconceptions were corrected, and overall it was a blast. Special thanks to Company Man Engineer Mohamed Hidouche for his time and hospitality, and the very informative tour. SPE KSA Society of Petroleum Engineers

In collaboration with Saudi Aramco, The SPE-KSU student chapter organized a field trip to one of the largest oil producing facilities in the world, Khurais Central Processing Facility (KhCPF).

The SPE-KSU student chapter was pleased to have the students of King Saud Educational Complex Boys-Secondary School in the Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering Department, King Saud University, and give lectures regarding the proper strategies and guids to choose the future major (Presented by Eng. Abdulbari A. Arefi, the supervisor of the SPE-KSU chapter), and a brief introduction to the petroleum and natural gas engineering major (Presented by Mohamed Mabrouk, the president of SPE-KSU chapter).

Offshore Drilling Seminar by Eng. Abdullah Hawsawi. Eng. Abdullah is a KSU alumnus. He was graduated from Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Deprtment in 2004 and joind Saudi Aramco in the same year. In the present time he's a Drilling Superintendent at Saudi Aramco.

In cooperation with the Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI), SPE-KSU student chapter has participated in organizing the Engineering Software courses which took place on the duration from Sunday 11/10/2015 to Thursday 15/10/2015 in AMI labs, College of Engineering, King Saud University.
