ከፍተኛ የጋራ ትብብር ያሳዩ ሴት መህምራን እና የአስተዳደር ሰራተኞቻችን ለዝግጅቱ መሳካት የድርሻቸውን ለመወጣት ቦታቸውን ይዘው የሻይ ቡናው መአዛ ብሎም የእጣኑ ሽታ ከሩቅ ያውዳል።
የሪያዱ የኢትዮጵያ አለም አቀፍ ትምህርት ቤት ምስረታው ከሃያ ስምንት አመታት በፊት ሆኖ ብዙዎችን ተቀብሎ ብዙዎቹን ሸኝቷል። ብዙ የደመቁ ሽኝቶችን ያየን ቢሆንም የዚህ አንጋፋ መምህር የተዋበ ሽኝት ለመካፈል በተገኙ እንግዶች የስሜት ጥልቀትን ማየት አጓጊ ነበር። መምህር ካሚል ሁሴን ብዙዎቹን በእንባ ሸኝቷል ...በእራሱ ሽኝትስ ? የብዙዎች ያልተመለሰ ጥያቄ መልሱን ሊያገኝ ሰአቱ ደረሰ። መምህር ካሚል ጥቁር ሙሉ ሱፍ ለብሶ ባለቤቱን ወ/ሮ ፈቲያ እና ልጁን ሳሚያ ካሚል አስከትሎ ውብ ሆኖ በተዘጋጀው መድረክ ላይ በኩራትና ጥንካሬ ታየ።
የእለቱ የክብር እንግዳ የነበሩት በኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ የዲያስፖራ ክፍል ሀላፊው አቶ ተድላ ጋቲሶ ፣አስተዳደር ቦርድ ሊቀመንበር ሼህ አብድልጀሊል ዋሴ ፣የትምህርት ቤቱ የቦርድ አባል ሼህ መሀመድ ሀሰን፣የሀገር ሽማግሌዎቹ አቡ ፈሀድና ሼህ አብድልዋሴ የፊት መስመሰሩ ላይ ተቀመጡ።
ርእሰ መምህር አበበ ጫላ ለመምህሩ ያላቸውን አክብሮትና አሰተዋጽኦ ያለስስት በሰፊው ተነተኑ።
የዲያስፖራው ክፍል ሀላፊ በከፍተኛ የስራ ጫና ውስጥ ቢሆኑም በዝግጅቱ ላይ ለመገኘት አላመነቱም በይቅርታ የታጀበ አጭር ንግግራቸውን ተደምመው አቀረቡ።
ሼህ አብድልጀሊል ዋሴ የመልካም ምኞት ንግግራቸውን እነሆ አሉ።
ሁሉም የተደሰቱበት ዘጋቢ ቪዲዮም ቀረበ። በዝግጅት አስተባባሪዎቹ የተገደበው አስተያየት ለቀድሞ ተማሪዎቹ ያደላ ቢሆንም መምህራን ፣ወላጆች ፣ የመምህሩ ወዳጆችም አስተያየታቸውን ሰጥተው እፎይ አሉ።
ስጦታዎች ከትምህርት ቤቱ ተበረከተ። ወላጆች ፣ተማሪዎች፣ መምህራንና ወዳጆቹ ስጦታቸውን ይዘው መድረኩን ሞሉት። ይህን ክስተት በጥንካሬ መመልከት ያልቻለ ሁሉ በእንባ ታጠበ።
መምህር ካሚል ፍጹም ጥንካሬ በተላባሰ መንገድ ንግግሩን አቀረበ ፣ ምስጋናውን ሰጠ። "አንድ አንሁን ፣ ለትምህርት ቤቱ የሚጠቅመው አንድነታችን ነው ትምህርት ቤቱን በማገልገሌ የህይወት ዘመን ክብር ስላየሁ ተደስቻለሁ፣ ያስቀየምኩት ካለ ይቅር ብያለሁ" ሲል ንግግሩን አቀረበ።
የመድረክ አስተባባሪው መምህር ያሲን ባሙድ ለመምህሩ ባለቤት አንድ ነገር ብቻ እንዲናገሩ ሲል ጋበዛቸው ደርባባዋ ወ/ሮ ፈቲያም
" ልጆቼን ያስተማራችሁ መምህራን አመሰግናችኋለሁ ፣ ትምህርት ቤቱን አመሰግናለሁ በባለቤቴ ከፍታና ዝቅታ አብሬው ነበርኩ ባለቤቴ አኩርቶኛል ጀግናዬ ነው " ብለው መነጋገሪያውን አስቀመጡ።

እጅግ የደመቀው የአንጋፋው መምህር ሽኝትን የሀገር ሽማግሌዎቹ አቡ ፈሀድና ሼህ አብድልዋሴ በዱኣ አሳረጉት። በሴት መምህራኖቻችን የተዘጋጀው ምግብም በአይነት ቀርቦ ተበላ ኬክም ተቆረሰና ሁሉም አጣጠመው። የፎቶ ስነስርአቱ ተካሂዶ ሲያበቃ ወደ አንጋፋው መምህር ጠጋ አልኩና አንድ ጥያቄ ጠየኩት
" በዝግጅቱ ምን ተሰማህ ?"
መምህር ካሚል " እንደገና ባለቤቴን ያገባሁ መሰለኝ ፣ሰርጌ መሰለኝ ..."
የአንጋፋው መምህር ሽኝት በዚህ ስሜት ተጠናቀቀ።

The veteran's Farewell...

Many parents, teachers, students, administrative staff and elders attended the day. Counting 23 years of service, everyone filled the hall. An eye-catching portrait of teacher Kamil at the entrance is captioned "The Allegorical..."

Our female teachers and administrative staff who showed great cooperation took their place to do their part for the success of the event.
The Ethiopian International School at Riyadh was established twenty eight years ago and has welcomed many and accompanied many of them.Although we saw many outstanding farewell ceremonies, it was interesting to see the depth of emotion of the guests who came to share in the beautiful farewell of this old master ,Mr.Kamil . Teacher Kamil Hussain accompanied many of them in tears...what about his own departure from the school? The time has come to find the answer to the unanswered question of many. Mr. Kamil dressed in a black full suit accompanied by his wife Mrs. Fethia and his daughter, Samia Kamil appeared on the beautifully prepared stage with pride and strength.
The guest of honor of the day was Mr. Tedla Gatiso, head of the Diaspora section of the Ethiopian Embassy, Chairman of the Board of the school, Sheh Abdeljalil Wase, member of the school's board, Sheh Mohamed Hassan, elders Abu Fahad and Sheh Abdelwase sat in the front row.
Principal Abebe Chala analyzed his respect and contributions' of Mr.Kamil in detail.
The head of the diaspora department, Mr.Tedla Gatiso ,despite being under heavy workload, did not hesitate to attend the event and presented a short speech accompanied by an apology.
Sheikh Abduljalil Wase said his best wishes.
A documentary video was also presented which everyone enjoyed. Although the comments limited by the coordinators were biased towards the former students, teachers, parents, and others expressed their opinions and were relieved.
Gifts were donated from the school. Parents, students, teachers and friends filled the stage with their gifts. Everyone who could not bear to watch this incident was washed away with tears.
Mr. Kamil delivered his speech with absolute strength, giving thanks. "Let's be one, it is our unity that is good for the school. I am happy because I have seen the honor of serving the school for a lifetime, I forgive if I have offended anyone" he said.
The coordinator of the forum, teacher Yasin Bamud, invited Mrs. Fethiya ,the wife's of Mr.Kamil to say just one thing.
"I thank the teachers who taught my children, I thank the school, I was with my husband through the highs and lows. My husband made me proud and he is my hero," she said.

The elders of the society, Abu Fahad and Sheikh Abdulwase, prayed for the success of the most illustrious veteran teacher Kamil.
The food prepared by our female teachers was served and enjoyed by all. When the photo ceremony was over, I got and asked a question to Mr Kamil
"How did you feel about the show?"
Teacher Kamil said
"Today, I thought I married my wife again, I thought I got married .."
The old master's farewell ceremony ended with this feeling.

First day of school (2022/2023A.Y)

የ2022/2023 የትምህርት ዘመን በትናንትናው ዕለት (ኦገስት 28/2022) በድምቀት ተጀምሯል፡፡ በዕለቱ ተማሪዎች የት/ቤቱን ደንብ እና ስርዐት እንዲተዋወቁ/እንዲያስታውሱ ተደርጓል፡፡ ትምህርት ቤቱም መልካም የትምህርት ዘመን እንዲሆን ይመኛል፡፡

ለመጨረሻው የዋንጫ ፉክክር የደረሱት የ11 ቢ እና የ9 ቢ ቡድኖች ነበሩ ። በነበረው ከፍተኛ የመሸናነፍ ፉክክር የተያበት ጨዋታ በ11 ቢ 2 - 1 በሆነ ውጤት ተጠናቋል። በዚህም መሠረት 11 ቢ የዋንጫው ተሸላሚ ሆኗል።
የአመቱ ኮከብ ተጫዋች በመሆን ሱመያ አህመድ ከ11 ቢ ክፍል የተመረጠችና የተዘጋጀላትን ልዩ ሽልማት ተቀብላለች። በሽልማት ስነስርዓቱ ላይ መምህር ካሚል ፣መምህር በሽር እና መምህር ዮሀንስ ለተማሪዎቹ የዋንጫና የሜዳሊያ ሽልማቶቹን ሰጥተዋል።

The annual volleyball competition held by the Ethiopian International School in Riyadh between the girls students ended on Thursday, June 3, 2022.
The finalists were the 11B and 9B teams. The match ended 2 - 1 draw by 11 B . Accordingly, 11B won the trophy.
As the star of the year, Sumeya Ahmed was selected from 11B team and received a special award. At the awards ceremony, Teacher Kamil, Teacher Beshir and Teacher Yohannes presented the trophies and medals to the students .
The annual girl's Volleyball Championship ended beautifully.

ተማሪዎች፣ መምህራን እና ወላጆች እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ!!
የሪያዱ የኢትዮጵያ አለም አቀፍ ትምህርት ቤት የ2013 ዓ.ም የ12ኛ ክፍል የዩኒቨርስቲ መግቢያ ፈተና ካስፈተናቸው ተማሪዎች አብዛኞቹ በከፍተኛ ውጤት ማለፋቸው ታውቋል።
እነዚህ ተማሪዎች ብዙ ተግዳሮቶችን ተቋቁመው ለስኬት መብቃታቸው የጥረታቸውን ጥልቀት ያመለክታል። ከአንድ አመት በላይ ትምህርታቸውን የተከታተሉት በዙም የትምህርት አሰጣጥ ሲሆን የኮቪድ 19 ስርጭትን ተከትሎ የትምህርት አሰጣጥ ስርአቱ በመቀየሩ በብዙ የተጎዱ ቢሆንም በላቀ ስኬት ለማጠናቀቅ አላገዳቸውም። ከዚህም ባለፈ ለስድስት ወራት ያህል ፈተናውን ሳይወስዱ በመቆየታቸው የሞራል ስብራታቸውን ተቋቁመው በዚህ ደረጃ ውጤት ማስመዝገባቸው ልዩ ምስጋና ያሰጣቸዋል። ከተማሪዎቹ ጀርባ አስፈላጊ ትምህርታዊ እገዛና የስነ ልቦና ዝግጅት ሲሰጡ የነበሩት መምህራንም የስኬቱ ዋና ተዋናይ ናቸው ። ከዚህም በተጨማሪ ወላጆች በልጆቻችሁ የረጅም ጊዜ ልፋት የጀርባ አጥንት ነበራችሁ እና እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ።

በሪያድ የኢትዮጵያ አለም አቀፍ ትምህርት ቤት የተጓዳኝ ትምህታዊ እንቅስቃሴዎችን ስፖርታዊ ውድድሮች በማድረግ አከናውኗል። ይህ ስፖርታዊ የእግር ኳስ ውድድር ተማሪዎች በትምህርት ቤት ውስጥ በስርአት ትምህርታቸውን እንዲማሩ ከማስቻሉም በላይ በትምህርት ፍላጎታቸው ላይ የሚጨምረው ተነሳሽነት በመኖሩ በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታ ውስጥም ቢሆን ለተማሪዎች ትንሽ እድል መኖሩ አስፈላጊና ጠቃሚ በመሆኑ ከኮቪድ 19 ቫይረስ ቁጥጥር በኋላ በተፈቀደው ሁለት ወራት ከ3ኛ - 12ኛ ክፍል ባሉ ወንድ ተማሪዎች መካከከል ውድድሮችን ለማድረግ ተችሏል።
በእዚህም 3ኛ ኤ ፣ 4ኛ ሲ ፣5ኛ ሲ ፣ 6ኛ ኤ፣ 7ኛ ሲ እና 12 ሲ የውድድሩ አሸናፊ በመሆናቸው የተዘጋጀላቸውን ዋንጫና ሽልማት ተቀብለዋል።
የዚህ አመት ኮከብ ተጫዋች በመሆን ልዩ ሽልማት የተሸለመው ከ11 ኤ አብድልአዚዝ መሀመድ ከ11ኛ ሲ ሆኗል።
በተማሪዎቹ የውድድር ማጠቃለያ ላይ በመገኘት ሽልማቱን ለአሸናፊ ቡድኖች የሰጡት መምህር ካሚል ሁሴን፣ መምህር አምሃ ሞላ ፣መምህር አብድልወሀብ በርሄና መምህር አመኑኤል ግርማይ ናቸው ። መምህራኖቹን ለዚህ ተግባራቸው በትምህርት ቤቱ ስፖርት ክፍል ስም ላመሰግናቸው እወዳለሁ።

Ethiopian International School at Riyadh conducts accompanying academic activities through sports competitions. This sport competition allows students to learn in a systematic way at school and to increase their interest in learning.

The winners of each group classes took cups and medals from the respected teachers' hand.
The winners are Gr. 3 A, Gr.4 C , Gr.5 C, Gr.6 A , Gr.7 C and Gr.12 C which won the trophies and took medals.

Abdulaziz Mohammed from is Gr.11 C, become star player of the year and took special award.

At the end of the competitions, the winners were awarded by Mr Kamil Hussein,Mr.Amha Molla ,Mr. Abdulwahab Berhe and Mr.Ammanuel Girmay. On behalf of the school's sports department, I would like to thank the teachers for their presences and motivates the students.

📌🎉🎉Second annual research project🌎

On December 11th 2022 grade 12 students were given what could be the biggest project of the year. It was a project for their English class which involved them researching and presenting about one of their problems.

The project was to help the students learn more about their problem, Understanding the causes and effects of it, and how they can solve it. It was of two parts. The first being more general and the second was narrowed down to their goals and how trying to solve it was going. After all the students presented, 10 were to be chosen as the best 10 researchers of the year.

On the first presentation, students were expected to give definition, how real the problem was, how does it affect people of their age, the causes and effects and lastly, the solutions. Everyone presented it beautifully and exceeded our expectations. Both the teachers and the students were more than happy and proud with everyone’s work. Not only did they present the details and information to their problem accurately, but the fact that they were able to identify their problem in the first was great on its own.

The second presentation, however; was focused on the solutions part. They were divided into 2 short term and long-term goals. The short-term goals were goals you can get done in a short period of time and the long-term goals were goals that took a little longer. The students were given less time for preparation and presentation compared to the last one. Most of the students were able to either solve their problem or overcome their fears and since they all at least started the process everyone was able to present amazing points which made it harder for the teacher to decides who wins
And finally, after a very thorough consideration Mr. Kemal chose 15 students as top researchers of the year. It became 15 because there were a few ties. The students were Abdulaziz Mohammed, Abir Omer, Dana Mohammed, Elham Abdullah, Eman Mohammed, Haroon Abdulkarim, Ibrahim Mohammed Abdullah, Jewahir Abdulkadir, Meram Ahmed, Reem Saeed, Rania Jemal, Ruqaiya Mohammed, Sara Mukhtar, Suna ali, and last but not least Yusra Mahmoud arranged alphabetically. Those 15 students are to be awarded in their graduation ceremony. But I think we can all agree that all of the students were winners in a way. They all got a little something from this research be it solving their problem or getting to know more about their friends’ problems or just the feeling of joy when watching their friends present so effortlessly or develop as people.
Those 15 students were called again to present in front of the whole batch and the other high school so they can learn from them, prepare themselves for the coming years and a little extra to know who the top 6 are from these 15.
With a few teachers as judges the students presented wonderfully starting with student Jewahir who talked about Negative thought then student Sara Mukhtar who presented about Low emotional intelligence followed by student Meram who talked about Stage fright then student Elham who presented about High sensitivity then student Yusra who presented about Getting out of your comfort zone following her was student Reem who presented about anger issues then student Eman who presented about OCPD then it was student Ruqaiya who presented about High sensitivity after her was student Suna who presented about Attachment then student Abir who presented about Self-doubt then student Rania who presented about Social anxiety and finally, from the girls side, was student Dana who presented about consistency.
After them were the three boys who were student Haroon who presented about self-discipline then student Ibrahim who presented about Pessimism and last but not least student Abdulaziz who presented about self-discipline. All the presentations were amazing and it felt like a blessing to witness. To conclude our journey, the judges had to choose 6 winners and those winners were 1st – Sara and Eman, 2nd – Ruqaiya, 3rd – Abir, 4th – Haroon, 5th – Suna, and 6th – Rania and Dana. Congratulations to all the winners, they worked really hard to get to this position and they truly deserved it.
Great thanks to Mr. Kemal for organizing such a program to help the students solve their problem and learn a lot more about each other. Not only did this research help them personally but it also helped them learn more about how to conduct research which will later help them stand out and shine in their college years making them all winner.

✅EIS students' participation in Riyadh Travel Fair at a glance👇✨

📌Our students tried to convince people who come from various professional backgrounds to consider Ethiopia their next tourist destination.

Ethiopian corner was filled with people from different nations trying our cofee, admiring our traditional performing arts and discovering tourism sights in Ethiopia.

My special thanks goes to school administration and Ethiopian Embassy Riyadh for this great opportunity.

Meanwhile,The school in general and the students in particular will continue playing -people to people diplomacy role in the future

Poetry comes alive through recitation. Our tiny poets of *KG Section* amazed everyone by their captivating presentation in the *Poem Recitation Competition*. A variety of mesmerizing rhymes poured out in the form of a melody from the tender hearts where their ideas & feelings were accentuated with the use of distinctive style, rhythm & ofcourse with the great help from their creative teachers & teacher aids.

ይህ ከ4 አመታት በኋላ በተካሄደው ፕሮግራም ላይ በሪያድ የኢፌዲሪ ኢምባሲ ተወካይ አቶ ሁሴን መሐመድ የተገኙ ሲሆን እሳቸውም በበኩላቸው የት/ት ሚኒስቴር ተወካዮች አመስግነዋል፡፡

Ethiopian International School held a farewell party for one of its devoted, hardworking and humble teacher, Mrs. Mohseena Talath.
Mrs. Mohseena served in the Ethiopian International School-Riyadh for more than eight years as a kindergarten teacher.
She discharged her duty up to the expectations of the school; in fact beyond. Besides her regular duty, she unreservedly served the school in other co-curricular activities in addition to coordinating the KG section.
The school wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.

በትምህርት ቤታችን አመታዊ የክበባት ቀን በአስራ አንድ ክበባት በተጓዳኝ የትምህርት ዘርፍ ተግባር ተኮር የሆነ የተማሪዎች ንቅናቄ ያሳዩበት ዝግጅት በዕለተ ሐሙስ (09/03/2023) በደምቀት ተከብሮ ዋለ። ተማሪዎች በመደበኛ ትምህርት ያገኙትን የቀለም እና የንድፈ ሃሳብ እውቀት ወደ ተግባር በመቀየር የተለያዩ የፈጠራ ስራዎቻቸውን ለተመልካች ለማቅረብ ችለዋል። በእለቱም በሪያድ የኢፌድሪ ኢምባሲ የዳያስፖራ ክፍል ሓላፊ አቶ ተድላ ጋቲሶ እንዲሁም የት/ቤታችን የአስተዳደር ቦርድ አባላት እና የት/ቤቱ አመራር አካላት ተገኝተው መርሀ ግብሩን አስጀምረዋል፡፡ የዘንድሮውን የክበባት ቀን ለየት የሚያደርገው የትምህርት ቤቱ አካዳሚክ እና አስተዳደር ክፍሉ ሁለንተናዊ ትኩረት እና ድጋፍ ሰጥቶት ከዚህ ቀደም ከተዘጋጁ የክበባት ቀን ለየት ባለ መልኩ በተማሪ የፈጠራ ስራ ላይ ያጠነጠነ ሰፊ እና በርካታ ተማሪዎችን ያሳተፈ ነበር፡፡ ትምህርት ቤቱን የልህቀት ማእከል ለማድረግ እየተደረገ ባለው የመማር ማስተማር ሂደት አንዱ ማሳያ መሆኑን መገንዘብ ተችሏል፡፡

A visit to The British International School-Riyadh (BISR)
The Ethiopian International School of Riyadh organized a visit to the BISR on the 9th of March, 2023. The objective of the visit was to conduct a cultural crossover with the students of the BISR and to educate our students on the IB system used in the BISR. The event consisted of presentations, dance performances, coffee ceremony and more. Our students were warmly welcomed by the year 12 & year 9 students of the BISR, and during their interaction, they acquired experiences and acquaintances.
