Hospitality and Tourism Students from the King Saud University enjoy a field visit at InterContinental Riyadh where they get an inside look at the Hotelier life. The students then spent the rest of the afternoon at the hotels bowling alley.

IHG expanding its partnership with Laureate Colleges around the Kingdom. IHG Hotels in Madinah, Saudi Arabia inducted the Laureate College in Madinah as their new partner just yesterday. A start to a fruitful and enduring partnership indeed.

IHG Academy graduates from the Laureate College Riyadh receive their certificates from Area General Manager, Tariq Y. Dowidar at InterContinental Riyadh's monthly employee party. The students presented InterContinental Riyadh with a plaque as a token of appreciation for the great experience they had during their work experience training program.

IHG Academy Partner, Laureate Riyadh Tourism & Hospitality College of Excellence host their first ever Career Fair in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce. IHG's Area General Manager, Tariq Y. Dowidar and Area Organization Development Manager, Mohamed Aleemuddin attended the fair and met with the Laureate College Dean, Francis Hughes to discuss signing an agreement for a region-wide IHG Academy Partnership Agreement that will ensure all IHG properties and Laureate Colleges across the Kingdom enjoy the same benefits and maximum trainee to employee conversion.

Through IHG Academy, IHG hotels and corporate offices collaborate with educational providers and community groups to help local people build their hospitality skills and improve their employability.

Within a global framework, each IHG Academy is tailored to best meet the needs of the local community they serve. Each IHG Academy has three things in common: they collaborate with local education providers and/or community groups; they provide a work experience placement; and they give feedback to each individual on placement.

Since its launch in 2006, IHG Academy has continued to grow and now spans over 60 countries around the world.
