Megdam Center

Megdam Center Prince Megren Data Mining Center (MEGDAM) Prince Megrin Data Mining Center (MEGDAM) was established at Prince Sultan University (PSU) in 2010.

Faculty members from College of Computer Science and Information Systems (CCIS) proposed the idea for the center to the office of His Royal Highness, Prince Megrin Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Center was established to further research in Data Mining and related areas along with increasing the awareness in the community. Funding of 5 million Saudi Riyals was

allocated to the center to oversee research activities. Faculty members and staff of the College of Computer and Information Systems at PSU strongly participate in the centers activities. The Center has also developed many partnerships over the years with industry and academia in research and development. It also brings together faculty expertise and research in Social Web mining, Arabic Text Mining, Natural Language Processing, Big Data Analytic, marketing and business intelligence, recommend systems, data visualization, and other areas.
