يسرنا الإعلان بالتعاون مع الزملاء من سلالات القهوة وخطوة جمل عن أول بطولة سعودية للباريستا على شروط المنظمة العالمية خلال المعرض الدولي للقهوة والشوكولاتة. وقد تم فتح باب التسجيل على الرابط التالي:

هذه البطولة تم التحضير لها منذ أكثر من سنة وحاولنا منذ 2015 تأسيس فرع سعودي للجمعية العالمية للقهوة المختصة وقد تم رفض و تأجيل عضوية المملكة العربية السعودية في الجمعية العالمية للقهوة المختصة.

وبرغم محاربتنا لهذا القرار الغير عادل ومنعنا من المشاركة أردنا عدم حرمان شباب وشابات السعودية المحترفين في هذا المجال من الإستفادة من دور هذه المسابقات والدورات في تطوير المهارات وتنمية هذا القطاع وتبادل الخبرات والثقافات، لذا قررنا المضي قدماً بترتيب البطولة بنفس المستوى العالمي ولتكون الجائزة دعم حضو الفائز لنهائيات بطولة العالم في بوستن مع كامل التكاليف والمطالبة بمشاركته.

يشترط في بطولة هذا العام حضور تدريب خاص بالمتسابقين والحكام لرفع مستوى المشاركة الى مستوى دولي إحترافي نظرا لصعوبة وكثرة شروط المسابقة ودقتها الصارمة. هذا التدريب غير ملزم لمن لديه شهادة حضور تدريب WCE.

The World Competitions Educational Program consists of modules developed by World Coffee Events, designed to provide competition training for all interested parties. These modules are open to aspiring judges, national judges, competitors, or any interested party, and focus on understanding competition from a judging perspective. Instructional modules cover Rules & Regulations, score sheets, judges’ stage behavior, and focus on the competencies required of a world-level judge, that are tested in WCE’s Judge Certification. Taking the WCEP can help in learning judging skills, understanding how competitions are scored, and improving overall competition knowledge.
The expansion of Saudi coffee market has a very ambitious future to have a global stand with robust basis of its people.
