بتحكوا مع أولادكم بالعربي، وبيردّوا عليكم بالعربي والإنجليزي مع بعض؟ ولا يهمكم!

لما الطفل يستخدم كلمتين من لغتين، غالباً هو ببساطة عم يستخدم الكلمات اللي بيعرفها من كل لغاته ليعبّر عن نفسه. وهذا مش دليل إنه مش عم يتعلم عربي.

وإذا وقف عند كلمة بالعربي، ساعدوه يلاقيها… بدل ما نغيّر للإنجليزي فوراً
لأن كل مرة بنساعده يكمّل بالعربي، بنعطيه فرصة جديدة يستخدم لغته.

Does your child mix Arabic and English when they speak? It’s okay! ❤️

Children naturally draw from the vocabulary they know across both languages to express themselves. Mixing languages doesn’t mean they aren’t learning Arabic.

And when they get stuck on an Arabic word, help them find it instead of switching to English right away.

ليش ابني لهلأ ما بحكي بالعربي؟ 🤔
يمكن الجواب أبسط مما نتوقع.

الاستمرار في الحديث مع أطفالنا بالعربية، حتى لو لم يجيبوا باللغة العربية، يمنحهم فرص أكثر للاستماع، والفهم، واكتساب اللغة بشكل طبيعي.
والأهم؟ ما نستسلم وننتقل للإنجليزية لما ما يستجيبوا من المرة الأولى.
Keep speaking Arabic. Even when they answer in English.
Children need to hear a language consistently to understand it, build confidence in it, and eventually use it themselves.

اللغة العربية منعيشها قبل ما حتى نتعلّمها. ❤️

ابتداءً من أكلاتنا الشعبية، للمدن، وحتى العادات اللي منحبها… في الكثير من الحكايات الصغيرة اللي منقدر نشاركتها مع أطفالنا كل يوم.

وهذا الأسبوع، تتزامن ال مع حفل إطلاق كتاب "الطفل العربي"، لنحتفل بكل ما يجعل لغتنا وثقافتنا جزءً من طفولة أطفالنا.
