(ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING POSITION )

Position Summary:

Teaching English Language to adult students

· Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to adult students.

· Providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work.

· Listening actively and effectively in order to identify and solve problems. Facilitate student’s learning and work on building student’s confidence.

· Participating in English Language Department staff meetings, professional development, workshops, curriculum/program planning and research activities and special events

· Using a variety of materials and teaching techniques to enhance student-learning, outcomes, and maintain student interest.

· Performing general administrative functions, which includes maintaining accurate records and compiling information and statistics.

· Planning and organizing work to meet changing priorities and deadlines.



Position Description:

We invite applications (ELT) positions in English to teach General English and ESP courses. Appointments carry a varying teaching load of between 20-25 hours per week, depending on departmental service assignments from 8am-5pm



Areas of Specialty-Discipline:

TESOL/Applied Linguistics, English Education, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Rhetoric and Composition, Literary Studies, and other specialties related to English Language Teaching



Position Qualifications/Responsibilities

Education:

All degrees must have been obtained from an accredited university after fulfilling requirements on campus; online degrees are not accepted.

Education—minimum requirements:

· BA degree in English or related field for lecturer positions.

· Master’s degree in English or related field for lecturer positions.

· PhD in English or a related field for Assistant Professor positions.

· Holders of degrees in fields such as Education, Translation Studies or Creative Writing may be considered for a position if they have sufficient teaching experience in the area of ESL/EFL.



Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Skills—minimum requirements:

· Near-native English speaker ability.

· Familiarity with MS Office Suite, contemporary teaching methods including both content-based and skill-based teaching, fundamentals of class room management and CMS software such as BlackBoard, classroom technology (Smartboard), e-Learning.

Eligibility Requirement:
· Minimum BA or higher (Not online)
· Must hold CELTA/TEFL/TESOL certificate (Online are not accepted)
· A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
