زارَ رجُلٌ أخًا لَهُ في قريَةٍ فأرْصَدَ اللهُ لَهُ ملَكًا علَى مَدْرَجَتِه ، فقال : أينَ تُرِيدُ ؟ قال : أخًا لِي في هذِهِ القرْيَةِ ، فقال : هل لَّهُ عليكَ مِنْ نعمةٍ ترُبُّها ؟ قال : لَا ؛ إلَّا أنِّي أُحِبُّه فِي اللهِ ، قال : فإِنَّي رسولُ اللهِ إليكَ أنَّ اللهَ أحبَّكَ كمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ

- Ash-Shâfi'î

And Ibn-ul-Qayyim said: From the most harmful things upon a servant/slave is his idleness and inactivity since the nafs (self) doesn't sit idle rather if he doesn't busy it with what benefits it, it will busy him with what harms him.
(Verily, the (human) self is inclined to evil [Al-Quran]. Tareeq-ul-Hijratain (275)

وقال الإمام ابن القيم رحمه الله: من أعظم الأشياء ضررًا على العبد بطالته وفراغه فإن النفس لا تقعد فارغة بل إن لم يشغلها بما ينفعها شغلته بما يضره ( إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوء ِ طريق الهجرتين (275)

Some of the salaf said:

"You don't find anyone who is disobedient/un-dutiful to his parents except that you find that he is arrogant and unblest,"

and then read the verse:

“[Prophet is saying:] And [Allah made me] dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest." [Surah Maryam: 32]

♻️ How to know when the deeds are being accepted?

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

🎓 Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:
👉 Whoever does an act of obedience – out of the many acts of obedience – and completes it:
✅ The sign of it being accepted is that he follows it with another act of obedience.
❎ And the sign of it being rejected is that he follows it with an act of disobedience.”

Worshipping anything, anyone besides Allah 》

‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies while invoking anything other than Allah as a rival will enter Hell."

[Sahih/Authentic] - [Al-Bukhari]

عبد اللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص اس حال میں مرے کہ وہ اللہ کے سوا اوروں کو بھی پکارتا رہ (اللہ کا شریک و ہمسر ٹھہراتا رہا) ہو تو وہ جہنم میں داخل گا“۔
