The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Remember often the destroyer of pleasures, death." (Tirmidhi 2307). Not to make us become depressed, but because the person who forgets death makes terrible decisions about how to spend the they life he have. Hasan Al-Basri used to say he had never seen certainty that looks more like doubt than people's certainty about death. Every person knows it is coming. Almost no one lives as though it is.

Our Prophet Muhammad SAW was a trauma survivor. He was born without a father, lost his mother when he was just a child, then lost his grandfather soon after.
He was mocked, abused, boycotted, and even betrayed by his own family. He buried his own children while he was still alive. But even with all that, he became the most emotionally balanced and spiritually elevated man in history.
His life teaches us that trauma doesn't define you, how you respond to it does.

Islam is built on mercy. God says, “My mercy encompasses all things” (Qur’an 7:156). Even the Qur’an begins with The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

“Not even a leaf falls without His knowledge.”
— Al Qur’an [6:59]
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: “The reward of the congregational prayer is twenty-seven times greater (than that of the prayer offered by a person alone).” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]
The hadith above concisely illustrates the superiority of salah offered in congregation in comparison to those performed alone at home. Several narrations of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reveal that he never intentionally missed out on the opportunity to offer his prayers in congregation, even during times when he was injured or ill.
“And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].” [Surah Al-Baqarah 02:43]
“I am with my slave who remembers Me”. (Bukhâri Sharief)
“For Allah Ta’ala is with those who restrain themselves and those who do good” (16:128)
