The waiting period between the Adhan and Iqamah in Masjid Al-Haram is calculated from the time of entry.
The duration between the last phrase of the Adhan and the first phrase of the Iqamah may shorten or lengthen depending on the Muadhin performance. However, the Iqamah is fixed: it is 10 minutes after the time of entry for Fajr, and 5 minutes for Maghrib and Isha.
Currently during the seasons:
If the entry time of Maghrib prayer is 7:00, while the Iqamah is at 7:05. If the Muadhin prolongs his performance and finishes at 7:04, the time between them shortens, contrary to what would happen if he hurried and finished at 7:03. The Iqamah would remain fixed at 7:05.
Outside of seasons:
The waiting period for Fajr is 15 minutes.
Maghrib: 8 minutes.
Isha: 10 minutes.
This is the general rule, and it includes exceptional circumstances such as on Eid Al-Adha, where the wait is just seconds. Likewise, Maghrib during Ramadan, the duration is extended for iftar.

حجًا مقبولًا وذنبًا مغفورًا 🤲
For thousands of years, the mountains and valleys of Makkah have echoed with the words “لبيك.” Pilgrims circle the Ka‘bah, whose foundations were raised by Ibrahim علیہ السلام and Isma‘eel علیہ السلام , answering Ibrahim علیہ السلام call to Hajj and obeying Allah’s command to invite all people to it. Across the centuries, countless believers have repeated this call known in number only to Allah and millions will continue to do so until the end of time, until He gathers the earth and all that is upon it.
To conclude the Hajj rituals this year, 1447 AH, we thank you for your interaction with our coverage and pray that Allah accepts your good deeds.
