A gentle Friday reminder to pause, remember Allah, send abundant Durood upon the Prophet, make sincere dua and fill our hearts with dhikr.

"Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O believers, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace." -Quran 33:56

May Allah accept our duas, forgive our shortcomings, bless our families and make this Jumma a source of barakah, peace and guidance Ameen.

We often ask Allah for more, but forget to be grateful for what we already have. Take a moment to look around you, your health, family, food, home, faith and even the opportunity to repent are all blessings from Allah. Things that may feel normal or ordinary to us could be exactly what someone else is praying for. So before asking Allah for more, take a moment to say Alhamdulillah for what you already have.

Even if you tried to count all the blessings Allah has given you, you would never be able to count them all.
Quran 16:18 (Surah An-Nahl)

The Prophet ﷺ would stand in prayer at night until his feet became swollen. When asked why, he said:

“Should I not be a grateful servant?”

Sahih al-Bukhari 4837& Sahih Muslim 2820

May Allah make us grateful for every blessing, increase the barakah in our lives, protect us from taking His blessings for granted and grant us contentment with what He has given us. May He bless us with even more goodness in this life and the Hereafter Ameen.

Betrayal may hurt deeply, especially when it comes from someone you trusted, but remember that nothing is hidden from Allah. He knows every intention, every secret, and every injustice. Do not let someone’s betrayal make you lose your peace or your faith. Leave what happened to Allah and trust that His justice is perfect. What is hidden from people is never hidden from Him.

“Indeed, Allah does not like the traitors.”
Qur’an 8:58 🤍

Every sin begins with a small choice, but repeated choices shape our hearts. Islam teaches us to guard our tongues, protect our prayers, honor our parents, spend responsibly and treat others with kindness. True success is not being free from mistakes, but constantly turning back to Allah in sincere repentance. Every sincere step toward Allah is a step closer to His mercy and forgiveness.

Don’t let Shaytan convince you that your worship is “too little.”
One sincere Astaghfirullāh.
One page of Qur’an.
One extra prayer.
One act of kindness. Done every day can become more beloved to Allah than a huge deed done only once.

“The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are done regularly, even if they are few.”
🤍 Stay consistent. Allah sees every effort.

The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, were eager to ask the Prophet 3 and learn about the highest of matters - those that lead to Paradise and distance from the Fire. Likewise, the Successors used to remain close to and ask the Companions about what would benefit them in the Hereafter. In this hadith, Ma'dan in Abi Talhah says: "l met Thawban, the freed servant of the Messenger of Allah ta, and said to him: 'Inform me of a deed'" - meaning from among the righteous deeds - "'that I may perform'" - meaning that would be a cause for Allah to admit me through it into Paradise. Or he said: "I asked about the most beloved of deeds to Allah." He remained silent - meaning Thawban did not answer him or inform him of what he sought. Ma'dan says: "Then I asked him again" - a second time - "and he remained silent. Then I asked him a third time." Thawban then said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah a about that" - meaning about what you are asking me - and the Prophet u said: "You must increase your prostrations to Allah" - meaning hold firmly to frequent prostration to Allah in prayer, in both the obligatory and voluntary prayers. This prostration is a means of entering Paradise. "For you do not prostrate to Allah a single prostration except that Allah raises you by it one degree and removes from you by it one sin" - meaning every prostration made to Allah is a cause for the forgiveness of sins and the elevation of ranks through acts of obedience, which becomes a cause for entry into Paradise. Ma'dan said:
"Then I met Abu al-Darda and asked him" - with the same question he had asked Thawban - "and he said to me" - meaning Abu al-Darda, may Allah be pleased with him - "the same as what Thawban had said to me" - meaning the same answer: increase the prostrations.
This demonstrates the truthfulness of the Companions in their transmission from the Prophet 3 - even when more than one person is asked about the same matter, they convey the same report.
The hadith encourages abundant prostration and urges eagerness for it through prolonging the prostration and increasing the amount of prayer.
