Surooh International Indian School [Girls Section] (SIISM) *(Revamped Section) was inaugurated on 14 November 2013 under the sponsorship of Mr. Saleh Hantush with the approval of the Ministry of Education, International schools, License Number 4351340005. The school is located within ample premises in the Al Naseem district of Makkah city, Taif road, before Awali, behind Kitab A'dl (Civil Court).
Conceptualized on 20 April 2004, the foremost leading Indian School in the Holy City of Makkah, was earlier operating proficiently under the name of 'Al Iman International Indian School, then 'Surooh International Indian School' and then changed to 'Tala Al Iman International Indian School'. However, after much persuasion, the management in 2013 was successful to retain its old and present name - 'Surooh International Indian School'. The School Hierarchy branches out from the Managing Director, Mr. Mohammad Ameenuddin; the Principal Mrs. Afrose Sharief and the Ministry approved Supervision Manager, Mrs. Tagreed Adnan. They are very effectively and efficiently supported by an extremely talented, experienced and highly adept team of around 40 teachers and subordinates. It attracts students right from Nursery to Class VIII. SIISM is officially planning to formalize on extending our strength till Class IX and a seperate boys section Insha'Allah. Currently, boys are admitted only till Class III (as per the guidance of the Ministry of Education). The school was established primarily to cater to the high and competitive quality demand for educational needs of the Indian Community in Makkah, Saudi Arabia and operates strictly within the guidelines and regulations as communicated by the Honorable Ministry of Education. However, the school welcomes students across all communities and nationalities, ranging from Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Philippines, Turkey, Syria, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Eritheria, Yemen, Saudi and many more. The medium of instruction is primarily in the English Language. The school prides itself in maintaining high academic standards amongst other institutions while emphasizing the importance of a well balanced approach to co and extra curricular pursuits as evident by the various events and periodic competitions actively being organized within the school. Since its establishment the student and staff strength has steadily grown with corresponding upgrading of infrastructure facilities. In recognition of its strength the school continuously seeks to develop the talents of its teachers and students to be leaders in society.
