How do you tell if we're in a bear market?

The technical definition is a market that has fallen 20% from its all time high

The 200 day moving average is also regarded as the line in the sand between bull market and bear . When the is trading under its 200 day MA, this is often a good indicator that the long term trend is down

But the other way you can tell if we're in a bull or bear market is by studying the mood of the crowd.

Indicators:

- In a bull market, problems are ignored (e.g. covid-19). In a bear market, problems are obsessed over (e.g. covid-19)

- in a bull, good news is great and bad news is ignored (or interpreted as good news). In a bear, good news is mocked and bad news is terrible news

- in a bull, people have faith in policy makers. In a bear, people have faith in cash and treasuries (and gold, once the margin selling has finished)

- In a bull, opportunity, FOMO and euphoria dominate. In a bear, fear dominates

_ In a bull, people talk about liquidity. In a bear, people worry about illiquidity.

I'd say we're in a bear market now, both technically and from a sentiment perspective.

This does not mean it's time to panic. There will be of opportunities to make money on both sides of this market. Embrace the change.

Goodbye 2019. After a year-long bull run and a series of record breaking, stock market ended the last day of 2019 on an upbeat note, with all three indexes in the black. Investors yawned at President Donald Trump’s tweet in which he said a “phase one” trade deal with China will be signed on Jan. 15 at the White House. Trump will also go to Beijing for negotiations on a “phase two” agreement at an unspecified point in the future. Investors cared more about consumer confidence, which missed economists consensus expectations in December.

On Monday,14 October 2019 at 1 32 pm,I got the utmost blessing of being the Father of a baby girl. Hopefully I would become a world to this child, a role model, probably a superhero, a true friend who can keep secrets, a person who will love and care without asking return and shadow of what my Dad is to me.

Thank you for giving me such an awesome feeling of being a Father. Love you for all the pain you borne to bring our little princess to this world.

We had a very turn around and great enthusiastic crowd of qualified professionals in finance who are eager to know more about UK career prospects.
