🌱💚 Our KS2 students are helping grow BSD’s sustainable future! Students have been busy preparing the hydroponics tower for the 2026–27 academic year by planting seedlings that will later be transferred to the BSD garden.

Through this hands-on experience, they are developing scientific skills while learning about sustainability, 🌿🍅 environmental responsibility and the importance of growing a greener future for our community. 🌍✨

On 6 June, we proudly celebrated the graduation of 30 remarkable students as they completed an important chapter of their educational journey. Surrounded by family, friends and staff, our graduates reflected on their achievements, memories and experiences at BSD. 🌟

🏆🦁 BSD’s U11 BSME Awards Evening was a wonderful celebration of sporting achievement, character and personal growth.

Through student reflections, families relived an unforgettable week in Abu Dhabi, while former BSME athletes and BSD role models inspired our young Lions by sharing their journeys of resilience, leadership and friendship. 💙

The evening concluded with the presentation of Character Strength Ribbons and Sports Awards, recognising students who proudly embodied BSD values both on and off the field. 🌟

🏛️⚔️ Welcome to BSD KS2 Roman Day! 🇮🇹✨

Our KS2 students stepped back in time and immersed themselves in the world of Ancient Rome, becoming architects, engineers and proud citizens of the Roman Empire. 🏗️🏺

Working collaboratively in teams, they designed impressive Roman towns featuring forums, temples, amphitheatres, baths, roads and city walls. The day was filled with excitement as students took part in a Roman parade, military formation demonstrations and a delicious Roman feast enjoyed with friends. 🎭🛡️🍇

It was a fantastic celebration of creativity, teamwork and historical learning, bringing the ancient world to life in a memorable and engaging way. 📚✨

At BSD, we are inspiring our students to care for our planet through sustainable actions, environmental awareness and responsible choices every day. Together, we can make a positive difference for a greener future. 🌱♻️

EYFS students and their parents recently enjoyed a fun and engaging Craft Morning at BSD, filled with creativity, collaboration and enthusiasm. 🎨✨

Through circle time activities, children developed their speaking and listening skills in a supportive environment 🗣️📚 Students then explored continuous provision with confidence and curiosity, taking part in a range of hands-on learning experiences designed to inspire imagination and independent thinking 🌟✂️

The morning celebrated the strong partnership between home and school while highlighting the creativity, confidence and enthusiasm of our youngest learners 🤝💙

Our EYFS students proudly showcased their talents through songs, swimming achievements, and exciting activities shared with their parents. 🏊‍♀️🎶✨

From atoms to galaxies, how do scientists make sense of numbers that are almost too big or too small to imagine?
KS3 students tackled that question in a recent math lesson, exploring standard form and its real-world applications in science and astronomy. 🔢

In small groups, students built and presented their own examples, then gave each other constructive feedback based on a shared success criteria. ✨

A lesson that went beyond numbers and into critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
