Chenille Interiors was formed in March 1990 and then went into several progress stages. Chenille Interiors embarked on several large projects that required the increase in number of employees, management personnel, and capital in 1992. The extra investment was necessary to allocate the necessary recourses to ensure successful delivery of projects. The number of employees increased, and additional investment in equipment and office space also increased. As a result, in 1994, Chenille Interiors changed its office location to a larger headquarter. In 1995, the company embarked on its first international project, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Rome, Italy. This needed extensive coordination by Chenille's staff and subcontractors from the United States, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Belgium. Accordingly, Chenille Interiors established affiliate offices in these countries for project management and facilitate material delivery system ensuring prompt delivery and service to the project. In 1996, Chenille acquired exclusivity of the finest wall coverings in the world with coordinated fabrics. In the same year, Chenille Interiors also acquired additional exclusivity on specific fabric collections from well-known international manufacturers to market within the Geographical Area of Saudi Arabia. In the year 2000 Chenille Interiors embarked on its 2nd international project, Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Oman. Chenille Interiors has focused on optimizing the experience it acquired in the past years and the international exposure to provide its customers the quality service no other interior design firm could match or offer. In 2002, Chenille expanded its operation to include building construction services and the trading in building materials and equipment. The company continued to strive for perfection and optimizing customer satisfaction, and in March of 1999 the company was portrayed as the best interior design firm in the region by "Business & Industry magazine", a specialized construction and interiors magazine.
