Effat University is strengthened by the legacy of its founder, Queen Effat Al- Thunayyan Al-Saud, wife of the late King Faisal Bin AbdulAziz (May God rest their souls), in 1999 offering its academic programs in 1999/2000 under the name of Effat College. The inauguration of its four colleges, the establishment of the Research and Consultancy Institute in addition to the success achieved on the acad
emic, education and social levels, paved the way to becoming a university as per the Royal Decree on January 30, 2009. Effat University’s mission for education, research, community service and outreach is to fulfill the living legacy of Queen Effat’s vision for education, exemplifying the spirit of Islam in its quest for knowledge, enlightenment and truth, to be committed to constructive engagement with the whole of human culture. The aim of Effat University is to educate tomorrow’s ladies to become leaders at an international standard.
جامعة عفت أولى الجامعات الأهلية غير الربحية في السعودية، تعمل تحت مظلة مؤسسة الملك فيصل الخيرية. أنشأتها الملكة عفت الثنيان حرم جلالة الملك فيصل بن عبد العزيز – طيّب الله ثراهما – باسم كلية عفّت؛ لتتمحور رسالتها حول تزويد الطلاب والطالبات بأساس تعليمي راسخ ضمن المفاهيم الإسلامية، ملتزمة بريادة التميز الأكاديمي والتطوير المهني وفقًا للمعايير العالمية في بيئة علمية تساعد على البحث والتعلم مدى الحياة.
وتماشيًا مع ذلك طرحت الجامعة ضمن برامجها - الاثني عشر- تخصصات علمية مطلوبة في سوق العمل تُقدّم باللغة الإنجليزية من خلال كلياتها الأربعة؛ كلية عفت للعلوم الإنسانية وكلية عفت للأعمال وكلية عفت للهندسة وكلية عفت للعمارة والتصميم التي لها السبق في تقديم التخصصات المميزة في العمارة، والهندسة الكهربائية وهندسة الحاسبات على مستوى المملكة.
