Some children are afraid of getting things wrong. The greatest confidence comes when they learn they do not have to be.

For Maha and Mohammad, one of the biggest changes they have seen in Rhea has been the way she approaches learning.

When she first joined Sherborne School Jeddah, Rhea was hesitant to make mistakes. She worried about saying the wrong answer, writing the wrong word or getting something wrong. Like many children, she wanted everything to be perfect.

Today, they see a different child.

She speaks up with confidence, embraces new challenges and enjoys learning, even when she does not get it right the first time. As Maha explains, that confidence has been nurtured through the encouragement of her teachers, collaborative learning and a school environment where every child feels supported to grow.

One moment captured that journey perfectly. Last week, Rhea proudly performed the piano during assembly in front of the whole school, something her parents say she would never have had the confidence to do just a year ago.

Sometimes, the greatest measure of a school is not just what children achieve, but the confidence they gain along the way.

πŸ‘— Style with substance, fashion with a future.

Innovation, creativity and sustainability took centre stage at the Sherborne School Jeddah Sustainable Fashion Show 2026.

Over eight weeks, pupils worked collaboratively in their House teams to transform recycled materials into imaginative fashion collections, developing skills in design, problem-solving, teamwork and innovation. The project encouraged pupils to think creatively about ethical and sustainable design, demonstrating how innovative ideas can have a positive impact on the world around us.

At Sherborne, caring for our world is part of who we are. We help every child grow into a thoughtful, responsible citizen who understands the value of sustainability and the importance of being kind to the planet, ready to make a difference in the world beyond school.

A fantastic showcase of talent, collaboration and future-focused thinking. Well done to all of our pupils and staff who made the event such a success!

🎬 Lights, camera, talent. Our first year ended in style.

What a joyful way to close our very first year at Sherborne School Jeddah. Our Sherborne's Got Talent Grand Final filled our brand-new auditorium with music, rhythm and so much emotion.

From music and dance to gymnastics, drama and even Rubik's Cube mastery, every child let their personality shine and with proud parents cheering from every row, the whole room came alive.

This is what a Sherborne education is all about. We nurture the whole child, helping every boy and girl grow in character, confidence and curiosity, and preparing them for a bright future in the world beyond school.

To every child who stepped into the spotlight, thank you for sharing your talent with us. It takes real courage to perform in front of a crowd, and you did it beautifully. We are so proud of each of you.

Year One. ✨

Our first year bringing Sherborne to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the very first in Jeddah.

From the very first morning to the final curtain call, this has been a year that reminded us why we do what we do.

Classrooms alive with curiosity. Assemblies that brought us together. Pupils discovering what they are capable of - on stage, in classrooms, in art studios, on the pitch, in the lab, and in the quiet corners of the school where the best learning often happens. Moments both big and small that, together, have shaped a remarkable year.

A year where tradition and innovation walked side by side, where every child was seen, every effort was celebrated, and every day held something worth remembering.

To our pupils: you have grown in ways you may not yet fully see. We are so proud of every single one of you.

To our families: thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your warmth. This community is something truly special.

To our staff: thank you for showing up, every day, with dedication and heart.

Some children count down the days until the holidays. Rhea counts the days until she is back at school. πŸ’­

For Maha and Mohammad, parents to Rhea, a pupil in Year 1, that feeling went beyond results. As they put it, "We wanted a place where she would be challenged academically but also cared for as an individual. That is what stood out when we met the teachers." 🌱

What made Sherborne School Jeddah special was never just the facilities, but the ethos. The warmth, the care, and a community that feels like family. Rhea comes home excited every day, her curiosity constantly sparked, and as parents, they feel like true partners in her education.

So when the holidays came around, Rhea turned to her dad and asked, "Daddy, why are the holidays so long? Can I take two weeks instead of three? I really, really miss Sherborne." For Mohammad, that meant everything. πŸ’™

How do you get children excited to practise their times tables? You give them a character to create, a leaderboard to climb and a house to play for. πŸ†

Last week, our Oryx, Falcon, Wolf and Leopard houses went head to head in our House Times Tables Rock Stars Battle. Using a maths platform loved by schools worldwide, our pupils raced to answer as fast as they could, earning points for their house with every correct answer.

Behind the friendly rivalry, real learning was happening. The platform adapts to each child, focusing on the facts they find most challenging, building the speed, accuracy and confidence that strong maths is built on.

This is how we teach at Sherborne School Jeddah: a rigorous British curriculum brought to life through creative, future-ready learning. And a contest like this builds far more than maths skills, nurturing perseverance as children strive to beat their own best, and teamwork as they play for their house. ⭐

What an afternoon! After weeks of auditions and semi-finals, our eight finalists took to the stage for the Grand Final, and what a way to mark the very first event in our brand-new auditorium.

From music and dance to gymnastics, drama and even Rubik's Cube mastery, the talent on show was remarkable. With the parents of our finalists cheering them on, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.

Our judges, Mr Andrew, Ms Ghadeer, Mr James and Ms Ellen, had the difficult task of choosing just four winners:
