With the theme "Nurses Together: A Force for Global Health," the Nurse Educators and Practitioners Guild (NEPRAGuild) Inc. held its 4th Biennial International Conference on July 6-7, 2023, at one of the hotels in Zamboanga City.

The event aimed to provide a forum for academic discussion on measures to create a brighter future for all nurses through collaborative research endeavors and to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and health for all.

The two-day event was jointly organized by NEPRAGuild Inc., its officers led by Dr. Norenia T. Dao-ayen, Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) through its Nursing Department, Ms. Sherryl Ann N. Pengson as the overall chair, and other co-host institutions. It was attended by nursing researchers, students, and educators from different colleges, universities, agencies, and hospitals nationwide.

Gracing the NEPRAGuild's international research conference were the keynote speakers of the event: Hon. John M. Dalipe, City Mayor; Dr. Milabel Enriquez - Ho, Executive Director of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP); and Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, President, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).

The event emphasized the value of collaborative nursing initiatives for worldwide health by focusing on the vital roles of nurses in nursing education, nursing practice, and nursing research.

Among the highlights were the shared topics of the plenary speakers composed of Prof. Maria Lorna B. Paber, Dean, Ateneo de Zamboanga College of Nursing; Dr.Jhordin James C. Montegrico, Assistant Professor - Nursing, University of North Carolina, USA; Dr. Grace Ann Lim - Lagura, Asst. Professor - Nursing, University of Hail, KSA; Ms. Sherryl V. Tado, Training Specialist, Zamboanga City Medical Center; Dr. Afdal B. Kunting, Medical Chief, Zamboanga City Medical Center; Dr. Patraporn Bhatarasakoon, Professor, Chiang Mai University, Thailand; and Dr. Prapaporn Muangkaew, Asst. Professor - Nursing, Uttaradit Rajabhat University, Thailand.

The event also honored the respective studies and findings presented by the researchers in the field of nursing during international research conference.

The Nurse Educators and Practitioners Guild (NEPRAGuild) Inc. is an international organization aiming to pursue continuous and quality nursing education, research, and practice.
