School breaks are tough times for children from vulnerable families. Much as they don't need a lot to be grateful, even getting a meal as simple as posho (corn bread) and beans a day is a real miracle. This long break affects them so much that most of them end up resorting to begging, stealing, doing casual jobs for food or eating from trash bins.
You can be a blessing to the vulnerable in your community and prepare them a decent meal at least once a week. If you're in a community without such people, at least support people or organizations which do this noble work of taking care of vulnerable people and you will be blessed. Greetings from Precious Stones. It's been long but I'm back here for friends who would like to support our work.

For those who know us well, you know that we serve both the not-so-needy and the extremely needy families. After the many lockdowns, many people lost their jobs and businesses, and taking their children back to school is still a big challenge. And when it comes to our extremely needy friends, it's another story so sad😭😭. Our desire is to still serve both groups but we can't do it without your help. You can bless us with any gift so that we may reach out to the needy children who really love to be in school but their parents/guardians can't afford. They are many, loitering in the community and we would want to set up a decent place where they can be taken good care of and helped to start on their education journey. Hello friends, it has been long without posting. Hope you're all well.
Due to COVID restrictions, a lot of things changed including the way we serve our needy neighbors. Instead of them coming to the centre, we resorted to serving them from their community by spliting them into smaller groups, put them into homes in their immediate neighborhoods and serve them from their. It has really yielded great results but it requires more resources as we now run 3 different groups. Your support is still highly needed so as to give these precious little ones a good start in life. We serve them with freshly cooked meals, we give them clean nice clothes to wear while coming to meet with others, we pay trained facilitators to do some learning activities with them, and those who are of age are supported to register in an affordable public school.

A child's home away from home. Our free style way of teaching encourages creativity, discovery and independent learning. Learning starts right from the gate as they come in, and every space in their environment is designed for that.

These are troubled times where we all need each other to survive through this. Many families have lost their loved ones to the different strains of COVID. Many children are left as orphans, many have been left homeless, many have dropped out of school and many have lost all hope of a better future. We can all pull through this together if wr purpose to support each other. Many organizations and ministries are raising support for the needy, but be careful where you direct your support.
