On 8 August 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, we are delighted to welcome author Judence Kayitesi to the Goethe-Institut Rwanda for a reading from her novel A Bridge Between Worlds. Judence Kayitesi is a Rwandan-German author and survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. She lived and studied in Rwanda before moving to Germany in 2010, where she now lives and works. Through her writing, she explores memory, identity, loss, resilience, and belonging. During her visit to Rwanda, she will share excerpts from A Bridge Between Worlds and engage in a conversation with the audience. Join us for an evening of literature, reflection, and dialogue as we explore personal histories and the bridges that connect past and present.
