GALATIANS 6: STANDING FAST IN CHRIST’S LIBERTY. THE WORKS OF THE FLESH THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

📖 GALATIANS 6
[1] Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
[2] Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
[7] Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
[8] For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
[9] And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
[10] Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
[14] But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
[18] Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
Beloved of God, peace be unto you.
We are coming to the end of the epistle to Galatians. After earnestly preaching that we are saved by grace through faith, Paul asked church members not to be selfish and to do good to others.
1️⃣RESTORE THE LOST WITH GENTLENESS, WHILE HELPING ONE ANOTHER (6:1-6)
📍Here Paul talks of two people: a believer like you who is overtaken in a trespass, and yourself when you are overtaken in a trespass. You are sharing the journey to heaven with that person, you are members of one body of Christ; do not forsake him, be close to him, in gentleness and love.
Let us bear one another’s burdens (Spiritually and physically), let the pain of another make you sleepless.
📍He also urges Christians to examine themselves, so that none thinks in Christianity he is above others (spiritual pride). That will have a negative impact not only on him but will prevent others to be closer to the Savior. You find sometimes us enthusiastic about bearing others’ burdens, but refuse their help, and we think we are enough, or better than others. No one is immune to falling into sin watch your goal.
👉🏾Let us keep in mind that there are some burdens others cannot share. But Christ can free us from those as He invited us himself in Matthew 11:28
2️⃣WHAT YOU SOW YOU WILL REAP ( 6:7-10)
📍God is not mocked. You cannot ignore Him or his law and be at peace. God is a fair judge.
📍And what we sow we shall reap. We have power to choose what to do but we do not have power to choose consequences of our acts. When consequences are bad, let us not lose hope and leave God, but let us rejoice in Christ that we have been forgiven.
👉🏾Though your actions may lead to diseases, punishment… continue to seek God.
📍Verse 10 reminds us to do good to all, even to those who are of the household of faith.
Every man has been created in the image of God. Forgetting that make some Christians fall into the trap of segregating the skin color or ethnic background, or segregation based on gender, wealth or poverty, religious denominations, different tests that distinguish them… It is a tragedy, shameful for a Christian to fall into that terrible trap.
3️⃣JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH (6:11-18)
📍Paul does not want Galatians to conclude that God rejoices in non-circumcision. Bur he wants them to keep in mind that the cross of Christ is the only thing to boast in. When He went to the cross He drew to himself all men, so He can restore in us the original holiness. On the cross mercy and truth met, and justice and peace embraced each other. That is the foundation of our salvation.
What you do or fail to do doesn’t justify you. 📍In being born again, our lifestyle and character will prove it.
📍Paul talked again about what his enemies where forcing people to do concerning circumcision and Jewish ceremonies. He said I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. He was persecuted for the sake of Christ that is what they were trying to avoid. What have you done for Christ?
⚠Dear Brethren, in the end we are reminded that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ and what he has done for us. But we have seen and continue to see that the character of a justified Christian make even those surrounding him be reached by his love, and his humility make people want to stay with him in the house of God. Let none boast in his own deeds, but let us all boast in what Christ has done for us.
📍MAY THE GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST BE WITH OUR HEARTS. AMEN.🙏

2 CORINTHIANS 13: THE LAST COUNCIL IN THE EPISTLE

📖 2 CORINTHIANS 13
[1] This will be the third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established.”
[5] Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
[6] But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.
[8] For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
[11] Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Beloved of God, peace be unto you. Paul as a good counselor gave important councils when concluding the epistle to the Corinthians.
1️⃣ SELF-EXAMINATION
📖 [5] "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.”
➡️Spending life working but without examining yourself is a wastage of time. Some Christians enter salvation and think they are certified to be holy forever. When you become a Christian you enter a conflict between good and evil and you must remain in battle against Satan and his daemons. Distractions, cowardice and weakness may lead you to fall in battle. Paul concludes by asking CORINTHIANS to examine themselves as to whether they are in the faith. Not examining oneself is dangerous because you may think to be fighting for Christ while Satan has already kidnapped you and you serve him unconsciously. “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged” 1 Corinthians 11:31.
2️⃣ FIGHTING FOR THE TRUTH
📖 [8] "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth."
✴️Satan is the enemy of the truth since long. Those who reject the truth become his tools he uses to fight against God. Paul says that fighting the truth is not suitable for Christians but they should fight for it.
Can you fight for the truth while the Truth(Jesus who is the truth) is not in your life? Those kind of people are just fans and to them Jesus will say:” I never knew you” Mt 7:23. Fighting against the truth is a wastage of time because in the end the truth will triumph forever. Be transformed by the truth then start fighting for it.
3️⃣ THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
✴️ At the end of the epistle, Paul asked CORINTHIANS to be with the Holy Spirit (verse 14). When Christ returned to heaven he sent to us another Helper(the Holy Spirit) to be with us. Did you know that the Holy Spirit can be with you while you are not with Him? Anytime you do not open your heart to receive that visitor, He will stay out of the heart and if you are not careful He will leave because “He shall not strive with man forever.” Genesis 6:3. Take heed lest you grieve the Holy Spirit and He leaves.
✳️ “Every act of transgression, every neglect or rejection of the grace of Christ, is reacting upon yourself; it is hardening the heart, depraving the will, benumbing the understanding, and not only making you less inclined to yield, but less capable of yielding, to the tender pleading of God’s Holy Spirit.” SC 33
⚠️Dear Beloved, let in the Visitor today ( The Holy Spirit) who is constantly knocking asking to stay with you(Revelation 3:20). Open for Him so you can live together forever. Paul says: ” the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”2 Corinthians 13:14.
🛐 GOD HELP US TO EXAMINE OURSELVES AND REMAIN IN THE TRUTH BY COMMUNING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. 🙏

2 CORINTHIANS 12: PAUL BOASTS ABOUT HIS VISIONS
Reading and studying one chapter of the bible every day. Prayerfully study the whole 12th Chapter of the book of 2 CORINTHIANS.
October 6, 2021
📖 2 CORINTHIANS 12
[1] It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:
[2] I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
[3] And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows
[4] how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
[5] Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities.
[7] And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
Beloved of God, peace be unto you. God uses different means to comfort his servants. The vision of Paul made him strong in a world that was hard on him.
1️⃣ ONE WHO WAS CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD HEAVEN
✳️ " The apostle Paul was highly honored of God, being taken in holy vision to the third heaven, where he looked upon scenes whose glories he was not permitted to reveal. Yet this did not lead him to boastfulness or self-confidence. He realized the importance of constant watchfulness and self-denial, and plainly declares, “I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” (1 Corinthians 9:27). Paul suffered for the truth’s sake, and yet we hear no complaints from his lips. As he reviews his life of toil and care and sacrifice, he says, “I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us’ (Romans 8:18).” SL 95-96
➡️Every follower of Christ must have a secret with God to the point that he will always be victorious even if he faces many attacks from the world, flesh and Satan. This vision made Paul always focused on heaven and his thoughts were fixed on the paradise instead of tarrying on the hardships of the world. Learn from him too.
2️⃣ THE THORN IN THE FLESH
✴️Paul himself said he performed many wonders and helped many but God saw it fit to be silent on his request about the sickness he had prayed about for long. His sickness disturbed him and he pleaded with God for healing and God was silent then told him: “My grace is sufficient for you.” A child of God can live by God’s grace though he may have requests he prayed for that were not answered according to his will.
✳️ "Of the abundant provision made for every tempted soul, the apostle Paul bears eloquent testimony. To him was given the divine assurance, “my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” In gratitude and confidence the tried servant of God responded: “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9, 10.” PK 387
⚠️ Dear Beloved, when you receive God’s grace you receive Christ and you can live happily though you may not have the peace given by the world. Paul forgot about himself and urged Corinthians to live blameless before God. Very soon the saints will be deprived of the peace given by the world and will live by this word:” my grace is sufficient.” If you have not received Christ, his grace will not be useful for you in the hour of trial. If you receive Jesus, you will have enough provisions.
🛐 GOD HELP US TO RECEIVE YOUR GRACE WHILE CHRIST IS STILL ON THE THRONE OF MERCY. 🙏

2 CORINTHIANS 11: PAUL TALKS ABOUT FALSE APOSTLES

📖 2 CORINTHIANS 11
[2] For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
[3] But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ,
[4] For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!
[13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
[14] And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Beloved of God, peace be unto you. If Satan can transform himself into an angel of light, who will survive his schemes? The secret is to remain on the foundation.
1️⃣ PAUL’S JEALOUSY
✳️ "Paul could see evils coming into the church, and he declared, ‘I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest, by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ’ (2 Corinthians 11:2, 3).”SM2 187-188
➡️ Paul was concerned with seeing his spiritual children hold on to only one Husband who is Christ. As one who is married to one man is required to be faithful Paul wanted Christians to be faithful to Christ and never rival Him with other men (false doctrines). By using the example the serpent that deceived Eve in Eden, he proved that if Christians do not watch they would be deceived and lose their holiness. Satan has not given up the wiles used in Eden because many have left their positions because of Him.
2️⃣ FALSE APOSTLES
✴️Paul said: [4] "For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!" If these people came speaking of Christ crucified who takes away the sin of the world, Paul wouldn’t have rebuked the Corinthians. Those who came gave a message that divert people’s attention from Christ the true foundation. Paul speaks of those like this :
[13] " For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ."
➡️ As we approach the end of the war, Satan who transforms himself into an angel of light(verse 14) will divert many from the foundation. These days Satan is busy at work sending modern preachers who speak a message that oppose the church’s foundation and the sad thing is he continues to win the victory he won in Eden by diverting many from the Biblical truth. Every preacher who doesn’t speak according to the word of God is a messenger of Satan. Go back to the foundation of the word of God.
✳️ "But those who look for miracles as a sign of divine guidance are in grave danger of deception. It is stated in the Word that the enemy will work through his agents who have departed from the faith, and they will seemingly work miracles, even to the bringing down of fire out of heaven in the sight of men. By means of “lying wonders” Satan would deceive, if possible, the very elect.” SM2 54
⚠️ Dear brethren, Paul who bore many tragedies(beatings, stoning, prison, shipwrecking,…) awoke Christians confessing to them that he bore it all for the sake of Jesus Christ. He asked Christians to avoid any message that would separate them from Christ. As we approach the end of the conflict, let everyone be rooted in the word of God and watch lest they give the ancient serpent called Satan or his messengers that oppose God a foothold. Remain on the foundation of the word of God.
🛐 GOD FILL US WITH THE HOLY SPIRT SO WE CAN SURVIVE THIS TERRIBLE TIME OF SATAN’S WILES. 🙏

📖 2 CORINTHIANS 9
[6] But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
[7] So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
[8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
[9] As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”
[11] while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
[12] For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,
[13] while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,
Beloved of God, peace be unto you. Paul continues to commend the generosity of the Macedonians. We are given so we can give and as we give our capacity to receive increases.
1️⃣ YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW
📖 [6] But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
➡️ "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty." Proverbs 11:24. Giving does not make one poor but increases your capacity of receiving. What man sows he shall reap.
✳️ "The Lord says, “Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters.” Isaiah 32:20. To sow beside all waters means to give wherever our help is needed. This will not tend to poverty. “He which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” By casting it away the sower multiplies his seed. So by imparting we increase our blessings. God’s promise assures a sufficiency, that we may continue to give.” Education 82
2️⃣ GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER
✴️ What you give grudgingly brings a curse instead of a blessing. God loves those who give willingly and cheerfully not out of necessity. He who gives that way will be blessed and always have things to give.
✳️ " God has made men His stewards. The property which He has placed in their hands is the means that He has provided for the spread of the gospel. To those who prove themselves faithful stewards He will commit greater trusts. Saith the Lord, “Them that honor Me I willhonor.”1 Samuel2:30. “God loveth a cheerful giver,” and when His people, with grateful hearts, bring their gifts and offerings to Him,“ not grudgingly ,or of necessity,” His blessing will attend them, as He has promised.” PP 480
⚠️Dear Beloved, the heart of egocentricity is from Satan but the heart of generosity is from God. Which one do you have between the two? If you receive Jesus He will make you a cheerful giver. Giving will not make you short of things to give but will make you always have what to give.
🛐 GOD EXCHANGE OUR EGOCENTRIC HEART WITH A HEART THAT GIVES GENEROUSLY.
