1.2 Goals and Objectives
Having been in education sector for years, the members noted that the numbers of secondary school places were still significantly lower than required. So, the objectives for the establishment of the school were;
• To support the vulnerable children especially the poor, orphans, to acquire education.
• The organization had a big number of students that it was supporting in different school. They came up with an idea of establishing a school so that these students would be helped from one place.
• The original objective (supporting vulnerable children) has been modified and now the school plans to go into providing education to all Rwandan children who are capable of paying relative affordable school fees. The school will continue helping the vulnerable students.
1.3 Our General strategy
Develop school infrastructure of the highest standard. Invest in technical and vocational training courses. Hire highly qualified teachers for the courses offered from Rwanda and the region include highly qualified Korean volunteer teachers in applied technology. Use performance as a key marketing tool.
1.4 Key to Success
The school programme has registered some success due to;
Dedicated founders who are prepared to make the school move forward. Availability of infrastructure for students, teachers and management. Philosophy to bring up vulnerable children for a better future. Ideal and suitable location of the school. Good teachers and support from Korean funders.
1.5 The near future
We would like to improve on the standards of our school facilities especially by constructing new buildings including dormitories, classrooms, kitchen and library; parking yard, gardens and a playing field. For the next five years, the board of governors and management plan to invest heavily in improving the general education infrastructure and other support facilities to achieve a high-end position in terms of quality practical education.
