During his visit to Sakhalin, his Excellency Dr. Laurie Bristow, Her Majesty's Ambassador to Russia, met with myself and students from 'Progress in English' school. He congratulated Anasatasia Shlyakhova and Devin Bjelland who both won 'Best in Sakhalin' in their age groups for English language. Anastasia also visited Moscow to take part in the all Russia English competition representing Sakhalin. Well done guys and thanks to their encouraging parents and to my colleague Tracy Harrison.

Hi Everyone,
We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
To start the New year, off if you are looking to improve your English we have some great options for you!
As well as our individual and small group lessons we have:
Several of our students are looking for someone to share a class at an upper intermediate to advance levels. One in the morning and one in the evenings.
On Monday and Friday's at 5:30 pm we have our pre-school class for
3-7 year old.
On Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 am we have our mum's babies class.
We are also looking to start a conversational class for Intermediate level students on a Friday evenings at 6:30 and an English playgroup class for 4 and up. The group would possibly be 1.5 hours 2 pm on Tuesday and 3:30 Wednesday's. Still to be confirmed.

I am pleased to announce two developments for our English school ‘Progress in English’. Firstly, it’s the first birthday of our operation in Sakhalin. Thank you to all those who have supported us.
Also, I am pleased to inform you that Tracy Harrison has joined ‘Progress in English’. Tracy is a very experienced and well qualified English teacher.
As a result, we are now able to provide a wider range of classes at Strawberry Hills. Starting immediately, we are offering the following;
• Pre-School English groups
• Homework clubs for 8-10 and 10-12 year old students
• Teenagers groups
• Adult conversation classes
• IELTS preparation
