Specialists Training in Havana
The cooperation of the Institute of continuing professional education and Cuban partners continues. As we have already mentioned in recent publications, the Institute has successfully trained more than two hundred employees of Cuba’s largest national oil company .
The trainees studied the 40-hour course of “Increasing the durability of plugging materials in aggressive environments and in natural bitumen deposits from January, 28 to February,1. It was the first group of this year.
The training was delivered in Havana and held by the Doctor of technical sciences, Professor of oil and gas wells drilling department Farit A. Agzamov.
Upon completion of training, 19 trainees successfully passed the final exam. The company's management and students highly appreciated the teaching level of and the availability of teaching material.
The tornado in Cuba on February, 3 didn’t get in the way with the lessons. Fortunately, the unpleasant consequences of the disaster made only our employees change the audience, as the building for training the students, was damaged by the hurricane.
In 2019, four more training programs are to be delivered this year:" Economy and management of the refinery and petrochemical industry " (108 hours); "Economy of field design and development" (40 hours.); "Economy of the drilling enterprise" (108 hours.); "Effective project management" (40 hours.).
