Spring is coming! 🥳

Is your to-do list completed? ✅

We'd like to introduce to you our graduate student who even 7 years ago had never seen snow, and now she can't imagine her life without winter activities ⛸️

She tells that when she arrived in Tyumen, it was March. The plane was landing, she looked down and saw that everything was white❄️

She was just overwhelmed by feelings that she couldn't put in words.

Also, Laura is fond of winter swimming and even her last birthday she celebrated at the spring! It was -26°С and the girl was unbelievably happy!

Studying online is still quite unusual practice, but our students manage perfectly!💪🏻

Yerehwe Isaac from Ghana studies Management at UTMN. He learned Russian online at the preparatory department of the University. The student says that during the classes he got acquainted with the university, learned a lot of useful information about Tyumen and got his first experience of communicating in Russian.

Within the framework of the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science. Leadership. Society - 2050" a meeting of students and participants of the event with cosmonaut Sergey Nikolaevich Ryazansky was held at School of advanced studies UTMN.

At the conference, Sergey Nikolaevich told about his first flight and spacewalk, working in a team, about difficult and interesting situations that happened during the flights and about 150 exams that he passed to get into the team. Together with the students, he discussed the issues of human development in the changing world, climate change, social disasters.

UTMN scientists want to teach artificial intelligence to think differently.

They proposed a new approach to the development of AI, which will be "insured" against errors and good at abstract thinking.

"Our analysis allows us to understand the level of AI development in the implementation of abstract thinking: if you look at the details, it turns out that there are still points of growth. However, we believe that the future AI will be "controlled" by theory, and not by data like today," says one of the researchers Louis Vervoort.

Ivan Romanchuk, rector of UTMN and a team of university experts defended successfully the UTMN development plan under the federal program "Priority 2030": the university was among the 106 finalists.

Ivan Romanchuk: "Our goal for the next 10 years is to become drivers of leadership in the region.
