Between Russia and Republic of Congo, the country where I am from, there is a large relation, which exist around 55 years influencing both countries in political, economic and education fields. Students, pupils and others personalities have possibility to travel overseas, when they are to present good results in their activities, studies.
My name is Anion Cedric Lord, one of that student who left the country by the same way and leaving and studying apparently in Russia. But, why Russia?
I am going to try to reply in that question! In fact, year in year out, my country send those who have finished the upper form of high school abroad if they want it: But to have that possibility to postulate doesn’t mean that you will go, because in your documents, can be something that they will never like where you want to go so the selection will be made firstly, by my country then the host country.
In point of fact, when I finished my school, I already wanted to keep on vacancies’ work in professional way but, my father didn’t appreciate that then, I gone in university first year. I realized that I do not want to study anymore. But what to do?
The first thing I did it’s to check if I have the possibility to travel. I gone at the minister of higher education for more information. I have read about everything, it was perfect.
That day I saw two countries there: China and Algeria, and students were making documents for going!
I made my first identity card, my first passport, and duplicate some papers that I lost. Then began to provide pieces for going to China but, I was late they gone I left… And one person told me don’t give up, you want you can do it; Russia is coming let’s try there. I tried with Russia and it worked.
I spent a lot of money without any parental help; and that’s was the time when they have took Russia from the G8 countries in 2014. Then I decide to stay and never thing about Russia, because firstly I was so negative in thoughts about Russia, plus that problem with Ukraine I would not go anymore.
Afterwards, I told my father that will find a job and he said, do what you like. I was chocked but, nevertheless, I did it! Then I began my job.
Next, at the end of august the minister calls me to come there, I saw so many students, I enjoyed the ceremony, they were calling each of us there and gave the name of specialty, city of the language and the city of your studies! MY FIST CITY WAS BARBAUL AND THE SECOND WAS TOMSK; I never heard about these cities before but was excited to see.
Therefore, we left Brazzaville the capital of CONGO, November 22nd 2014 and came in Barnaul November 24th then I began learning Russian after one week of my arrival till the end of June!
I left Barnaul 22nd of July then came in Tomsk for studying!
Up to now, I am in Tomsk I really like this city.
