TOEFL iBT preparation сourse: new season!

TSU invites you to apply for a 6-week preparation course for an international exam TOEFL iBT®. Intensive course takes place in the TSU Research Library.

What are the benefits of the course?

• Strategy - studying the key features of all the sections of the exam;

• Practice - maximum practical experience and feedback from your teacher;

• Confidence – overcoming test anxiety;

• Working climate - a comfortable space for training with all the necessary materials provided;

• Time management –a scheduled program, clear timetable and fixed deadlines;

• Motivation - communication and mutual support.

Classes are held in the English Reading Room, TSU Research Library. The room has everything you need for a comfortable and independent work: basic and additional literature, presentation equipment, laptops with headsets, air conditioner, cooler and a coffee break for each lesson.

Discounts are offered to PhD students and TSU employees.

At the end of this training the participants get a Certificate of completion issued by TSU.

Course entrance requirements:

• level of English - B1;

• attending classes and at least 3 hours per week for your independent work.

How do I enroll?

Вы готовы к тесту?
Чего не стоит приносить:
- бумагу, ручки, карандаши или иные писчие принадлежности, на тесте вам дадут простые карандаши и бумагу согласно правилам;
- бумаги в паспорте/нарядная обложка будут изъяты до конца тестирования;
- в помещение теста нельзя брать часы, телефоны и иные электронные устройства, включая аналоговые.
- печатные или электронные материалы для подготовки к тесту.

Что НАДО принести:
- паспорт или национальное удостоверение личности;
- можно второй документ с фото на случай ошибок в имени или дате рождения (права и т.п.)
- вода (у нас есть вода, но вам так будь спокойнее), попить во время такого напряжённого теста полезно для мозгов;
- еда (доступ к перекусу у вас будет во время перерыва, в корпусе есть кафе, но экономьте своё время, ваш обязательный перерыв всего 10 минут);
- можно принести беруши в герметичной упаковке, ее вы вскроете на месте перед администраторами теста.

Во время теста строго запрещено покидать здание, разговаривать с кем-то по содержанию теста, забирать с собой бумагу с теста, производить фотосъемку или аудиозапись содержимого тестов.

Are you ready for the test?

Things you should not bring:
- paper, pens, pencils or other writing materials, you will be given usual pencils and paper before the test according to the rules;
- papers in the passport/nice thick covers will be removed until the end of the test;
- You must not bring watches, telephones or other electronic devices including analog ones into the testing room.
- printed or electronic materials used to prepare for the test.

Things you NEED to bring:
- passport or national identity card;
- possibly a second document with a photo/ID in case you made any mistakes in the name or your date of birth (driver's license, etc.)
- water (we have water, but you will feel at ease when you have it yourself), a drink during such an intense test is useful for your brain;
- food (you will have access to your snacks during the break, there is a cafe in the building, but you should save your time as your mandatory break is only 10 minutes);
- you can bring ear plugs in a sealed package, which should be opened right in front of the test administrators before the test.

During the test it is strictly forbidden to leave the building, talk to someone about the test content, take away your scratch paper from the test location, take pictures or make any recordings of the test contents.
