We are glad to invite you to meet Andrey Zvezdochkin. Do not miss the opportunity to talk to CEO of ATON on his first lecture with students.

In 2012, after 8 years in “Troika Dialog”, Andrey became the head of ATON and determined the further development of the company. Andrey managed to succeed - ATON was growing in severe conditions of long-term stagnation of the securities markets. Andrey has built a profitable investment bank that successfully competes with the largest state-owned banks. Aton shares the first place in the number of transactions on the Moscow Stock Exchange with VTB Capital.

What is the position of investment banks in the contemporary Russia? What is the impact of technological development (machine learning, neural networks, etc.) on investment banking? How did "Aton" manage to grow in a difficult period for Russian investment banks?

The Position
The Quant will be part of the Quantitative Research team of the Capital Market Department. As such, he/she will be working in a team of 5 people, on the trading floor.

The job holder’s primary task is to help on developing the Equity Derivatives trading activities through the delivery of analytics. The analyst will sometimes work on different classes of assets due to the scope of the department.

Main Responsibilities
On a daily basis, the work consists of developing analytics in C # and integrating them into Excel. These analytics are the result of mathematical research. These can be performed with other members of the teams and the result, apart from the production release, is a specific documentation for Risk Management validation.

Key Competencies & Qualifications
-A solid quantitative finance background
-Good knowledge of computer science
-Great communication skills
-Strong work ethics and attention to details

NES BFS team is glad to announce our new event devoted to Debt Capital Markets (DCM) which is going to take place on May 16, 19.00 at our campus in Skolkovo (Novaya str. 100A, Rm 1.14).

Our guest Andrey Kulakov CFA (Capital Markets Associate at Sberbank CIB) is going to discuss the latest trends and events that are currently happening on domestic and international debt market. He will also cover the question of why DCM in Russia now looks more active compared to ECM or M&A.

You will hear a short overview of the DCM industry and description of the main lines of business of the investment bank in this field. Traditionally, our speaker will also pay attention to the career opportunities in DCM both in Russia and abroad. Of course you are welcome to ask any of your questions during a Q&A.

After the event a comfortable bus is going to take you back to the Slavyanskiy Boulevard underground station.

We are delighted to announce our meeting with Dmitry Kushaev, CEO Credit Suisse Russia, which will take place on May 12, 19:00 in Marriott Courtyard City Center Moscow (7, Voznesenskiy Pereulok). The event is co-organised together with the scholarship program for economic and finance students "Above the dream", supported by former partners of the "Troika Dialog" investment company.

The event will be devoted to the topic “Private Banking in Russia and its perspectives in comparison to other lines of investment banking business”.

Dmitry joined Credit Suisse in December 2014, becoming the Head of its Private Banking branch in Russia. At the moment he is responsible for the development of Private Banking and Investment Banking divisions at Credit Suisse, given his previous experience in both industries. In 2011-2014 Dmitry was a Senior Advisor on the Russian market at the Blackstone Group, and before that he was working at “Troika-Dialog” where he used to be the Head of Investment Banking and one of the main partners.

During the meeting students will have the opportunity to discuss the potential of building a career in private banking, learn what differentiates this industry from other investment banking divisions and also get some invaluable advice from our guest.

Considering the limited amount of seats, we will have to do additional round of application screening if the number of participants is large. Do you want to know how to manage billions of dollars in assets? If so, we are glad to present you our next speaker – Vitaly Kazakov, who has been working in J.P. Morgan Asset Management, London, for more than 10 years. The event will take place at NES Campus in Skolkovo, Novaya str. 100A.

In the course of his work Vitaly was managing JP Morgan Russia Fund, which was specifically created to invest in Russian equities, more than 2 billion dollars in volume. By 2013 the fund has shown the five-year yield of more than 238% (compared to 98% growth of MSCI Russia index).

Vitaly will cover the details of the Asset Management industry. He will also explain, how hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, sovereign funds, quant funds, HFT funds work and which strategies they use. You will learn how to build a career in Asset Management, and in the end of the meeting you will have time to ask your questions during a Q&A session.

We are proud to announce our next meeting with Ekaterina Trofimova, CEO of Analytical credit rating agency (ACRA), which will be hosted on March 31 at 19:00 at our Skolkovo campus.

Having worked for 11 years at the Paris branch of Standard & Poor’s, Ekaterina has accepted the role of the First Vice President of Gazprombank, where she became the head of the Centre for economic forecasting and also managed the work of the corporate communications department. Besides, she was responsible for organization and functioning of the rating counselling centre that specializes in providing consulting services to clients in the field of interaction with rating agencies. On November 20, 2015 Ekaterina was appointed as general director at the Analytical credit rating agency (ACRA) at the common meeting of founders.

This time Ekaterina Trofimova wilt tell students about her work experience in S&O, Gazprombank and the ambitious ACRA project. She will share some insight into the fundamental changes that are taking place on the international rating market right now. Finally, Ekaterina will give some advice to students planning their career in finance.

At the end of the meeting you are welcome to ask questions during the Q&A session!

Our guest for this occasion is Gor Nahapetyan, businessman who was standing at the origins of "Troika", now chairman of the alumni board of Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. The lecture will be devoted to the following topic: "Looking for growth in times of crisis: today and 20 years ago".

Today this subject is again becoming increasingly relevant. Two decades ago the question of what direction you should pursue in order to achieve success was just as complicated as nowadays. Mr. Nahapetyan will talk about the way "Troika Dialog" was established and developed, about the first investment funds and financial instruments that did and did not adapt to the Russian environment.
