What a week to be in Year 6!
On Monday they presented a fantastic production around the book Superworm.
Today they visited an Eco centre to use microscopes and look at creepy crawlies. After (washing their hands thoroughly) they embarked on a cooking class

Hop-scotch? That will be French counting to nine and back to 1. Estimating and measuring in maths. Creating clay models to portray the aftermath of WWII. Brian training with creative methods and finally being treated to an in-flight experience within the classroom to really make that transport topic stand out.

What a fantastic first day of the Year 2/3 residential. Skiing, tubing and ice skating by day, Twister by night.

A great event put on by for our swim team and a great chance on Friday for our students to work on their climbing skills.

Reception and Year 1 had a fantastic time at their residential, climbing, completing rope courses (and eating pizza for lunch).
We also celebrated those who had achieved above 70% in the Russian Bear Olympiad, with our winner attaining 95%.

Today’s assembly and activities in the afternoon session for primary centred around Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon.
An Under 12 football team was disappointed about finishing second in a football competition, but there’s a chance of more medals in Kazan with New Year swimming competition this weekend.

Don’t go down without a fight - Year 5 visited the World War II museum linking into their topic all about 1939-1945.
Meanwhile Reception and Year 1 developed their pottery skills on Friday.

Native Russian students completed the Russian Maths Olympiad today and next Friday they will learn the results of the Russian Bear Olympiad.

Students from Year 5 and up had the opportunity to visit the Faberge Museum to both look closely at artefacts and create their own pieces in an art workshop today.

There’s been fantastic work produced this week. The iGCSE English literature group created portfolios on characters from Great Expectations. Year 2 used their adjectives and inspiration of Mr Men and Little Miss books to create their own new series. Year 3 created pieces of pottery and up in Year 6 there was some game creations that will help market research.
