โ๏ธ What a nice way to start the summer! Our secondary students went out to play ๐ซ laser tag.
It was an action-packed experience full of energy, teamwork, and excitement. Students were split into teams and had to think strategically, communicate effectively, and react quickly to changing situations on the field.
๐ After the match, students shared their impressions ๐ฌ and talked about their best plays and funniest moments.

At ISSPb, final projects and assessments are in full swing โ but let's take a quick break and look back at what's been going on at school recently.
๐ก In science, Y3 conducted an experiment on the topic of friction, timing how long it took for the toy car to go down the slope on different surfaces.
๐จ In DT, Y5 enjoyed a tie dye activity. Students tried out vibrant colours and various designs. The result is amazing!
๐ฅ In music, PN/N played with hand bells and xylophones, and practised more advanced moves with the tappers.
๐ฆฅ In Computing, Y2 were sorting animals or vehicles into different groups and recording them into a spreadsheet.

๐ On April 30, ISSPb celebrated International Day.
๐งโ๐ณ Parents hosted a food fair, exchanging traditional dishes and celebrating the culinary traditions of their countries.
๐ช This was followed by the Parade of Nations, where students and teachers marched through the school, proudly displaying flags from countries like Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, Germany, Chile, the Netherlands, South Africa, and many more. This vibrant and colorful event showcased the rich cultural diversity of our school.
๐จ An exhibition of studentsโ artwork featured pieces inspired by world-renowned artists and global artistic styles, reflecting the unique characteristics of various cultures.
๐๐ป Students also participated in a variety of activities, including quizzes, sports competitions, and cooking workshops focused on the traditions and cultures of different countries.
๐ The celebration wrapped up with an assembly, during which students were honored for their exceptional costumes and academic achievements.
The day was a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing and celebrating the richness of different cultures, traditions, and people. Thank you to everyone who made this special day possible! ๐ซถ๐ป

With the holidays approaching, letโs take a look at how students at the International School of St Petersburg (ISSPb) spend their school days.

During French lessons, students learned about compass points and practiced describing the weather in France.
๐ฑ Year 2
Children discussed the invention of the phone, created their own models, and explored how sound travels.
๐จ Year 10-12
Exciting art projects are underway with older students!
๐ฑ Year 5
As soon as the roots and shoots appeared, students decided to plant bean seeds as part of their science project.
๐ Year 8-9
After studying "Emma" by Jane Austen, children completed both a test and an essay exploring the key themes and ideas. They also created a poster summarizing the main topics of the book.
