The second Confernece day starts!

Irina Busygina (MGIMO) opens the day with the report: "Russia's Approach to the Foreign Policy: Is it Really an Alternative to the European?"

The first Coference day was full of students' presentations.

Bacheleor, master and PhD students covered lots of topics from different spheres: electoral processes in Russia, identites is Belarus, Brazil-Russian relations, methodological approaches in political science.

In this moment Olga Malinova (HSE, MGIMO) is presenting her views on working with theory.

Regina Smyth is speaking now about authoritarian modernization.

We are glad to invite you to take part in "The October Readings" conference!
This year it will be held October 20-22 in Higher School of Economics.
The fifth October readings «Development of Russia in the framework of global politics» will focus on a comprehensive analysis of the processes of social and political development in Russia to be conducted in a classical comparative perspective. The conference will aim to understand how political and social practices in modern Russia can be related to the similar processes in the developed and developing countries.
The major areas of discussion shall be:
1. Changing the principles of global politics in the world and in the post-Soviet space.
2. Comparative analysis of the social and economic reforms and of the models of governance in modern states.
3. Dynamics of the social change.
4. Functioning of the political institutions in the hybrid regimes.
The fifth October readings will take place on October 20-22, 2016 in St.Petersburg.
