On 25 February 2022, a delegation from the Republic of Cuba visited Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State University of Railway Transport.
The delegation included Eduardo Rodríguez Davila, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Cuba, Julio Garmendía Peña, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation, Ivan Hernando Collazo, Adviser to the Minister, Luis Roberto Roses Hernández and Rolando Lazaro Navarro Hernández, Deputy General Directors of the Union of Cuban Railways and Yohana Alvarez Rey, Director for Imports of TRADEX.
Rector of the PSUPS A.Yu. Panichev held a working meeting with the guests, after which a tour of the University was organised for them.
Later the same day the delegation met with the students from the Republic of Cuba, studying at PSUPS.
The friendly relations between the University and various organizations of the Republic of Cuba have a long history. For decades PSUPS has been making a significant contribution to training of staff for the railways of the Republic of Cuba, and many representatives of the management of the Union of Cuban Railways.

Did you know that on the night of 13 to 14 February 2017, the first ever "romantic train" left St Petersburg for Moscow.
Decorated with hearts and filled with music, the "romantic voyage" was timed to coincide with Valentine's Day.
According to the organizer, namely, the Northwest Branch of the Federal Passenger Company, the idea of the event "was born with the sound of the wheels and thoughts of the familiar romance of the train.
The carriages and compartments were decorated with bunches of roses, balloons and souvenirs, and the dining car offered a festive menu for more than 300 passengers.
"The Romantic voyage left Moskovsky vokzal at 23:30 on 13 February and reached Leningradsky vokzal in Moscow at 08:30 on 14 February.

Все иностранные обучающиеся (кроме граждан РБ и граждан, имеющих статусы РВП или ВНЖ), прибывшие в Россию с 29.12.2021, должны пройти обязательную дактилоскопическую регистрацию, фотографирование и медицинское освидетельствование в течение 90 суток с момента въезда в РФ (в соответствии с ФЗ РФ № 274-ФЗ от 01.07.2021).

Для этого необходимо:
• лично обратиться в Единый медицинский центр (телефон: 318-05-67) по адресу: ул. Красного Текстильщика, дом 10-12, литера В, 4 этаж (вход № 2 со стороны парковки). Время приема: понедельник – пятница с 9.00 до 16.00;
• при себе иметь: 1) паспорт 2) нотариально-заверенный перевод паспорта 3) миграционную карту 4) регистрацию (миграционный учет) 5) студенческий билет.

Стоимость медицинского освидетельствования - 5700 руб., стоимость дактилоскопии и фото - 350 руб. Медицинская справка будет готова в течение 6 рабочих дней.

Для сдачи медицинских анализов за 3 часа нельзя: есть, пить алкоголь и курить.

For active participation in the construction of the Crimean Bridge, the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin awarded the staff of Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University with a medal "For the Construction of the Crimean Bridge".

The Crimean Bridge is one of the largest in our country. For three years there were more than 30 employees and students of PGUPS actively took part in its building.
