Sticks and Circles

In our learning program, we have a subject called Pencil Control. At first glance, it may seem like a small or simple activity — but in truth, it is anything but.

In our new post, we share why we give this practice such special attention:

✏️ Fine motor skills build thinking and speech
By developing small hand movements, we support brain development and the speech center.

✏️ Focus and hand–eye coordination
The eye follows the line, the brain processes it, and the hand carries out the command. This skill is the foundation for reading, problem-solving, sports, and so much more.

✏️ Readiness for writing
Pressure control, confident lines, and changing direction — all of this is practiced long before a child writes their first letters. This makes the transition to handwriting calm and stress-free.

✏️ Confidence
“I did it! I helped the bunny find the carrot!” — these small victories build self-belief and prepare children for bigger challenges ahead.

Mazes, paths, tracing, and drawing extensions — mix activities, choose themes your child loves, and spark genuine interest in the process.

A photograph is just two seconds of our time — one image among thousands in our gallery.

But in truth, it’s pure magic, only we’ve grown used to it.

Behind every picture lies a century-long story of inventions, daring experiments, and people brave enough to chase the impossible.

We visited *Rosphoto* and were genuinely astonished by the history behind something that feels so ordinary today.

We followed the entire journey of photography:
from the very first image ever taken to the nineteenth-century prototypes of VR glasses.
We learned why early cameras needed real bellows and what the very first portable cameras looked like.

And the best part — everything could be *experienced.*
With the help of modern technology, we quite literally stepped inside an antique camera and created our own digital prints in the style of those earliest photographic techniques.

This museum is an absolute must-visit for children!

We left completely inspired!

Why visit the Museum of Music?

🐦 Learning through delight: we tried to whistle like birds, drummed with our palms, and even played a mysterious stringed instrument.

We wandered through halls adorned with antique interiors, each room holding the stories of centuries past.

🎹 Among the exhibits, we discovered a two-sided piano, a full string orchestra set ready for a performance, a wind-instrument ensemble, and countless unusual instruments we had never seen before.

This little journey made us fall in love with music even more!

“What on earth is going on?” — that’s probably what you thought while watching this video.

Let us walk you through it 😁

🎶 We were training our sense of rhythm and doing exercises to go along with the music. At the end of the lesson, the children listened to a piece of music and painted what they heard.

🦺 We talked about earthquakes and safety rules — what to do if a natural disaster suddenly occurs.

🌎 We explored the four layers of the Earth: the crust, the mantle, and the outer and inner core. To make sure the children remembered them well, we created a visual model of the Earth’s layers.

🌋 We also carried out our “Lava Monsters” experiment 👾. Try it at home: fill a jar (draw a monster’s face on it!) with colored water and oil, then drop in a few pieces of a vitamin C tablet.

There’s never a dull moment with us 💚

“Let’s say you’re the dinosaur and I’m the lion!”

Dear grown-ups, no indulgent smiles — it’s time to get down on the floor and play with the children 😁
After all, pretend play is a vital part of growing up and discovering the world! 🎯

So what happens to a child while they’re living in their make-believe world?

A super-charged brain 🧠
When a child invents a scenario (“Let’s pretend we’re stranded on a deserted island!”), their brain is busy forging new neural connections. Imagination flourishes, creativity blooms, and the ability to plan begins to take shape.

Emotional intelligence 💗
Stepping into the role of an “angry” mother cat or a “sad” little bunny, a child learns to understand and express their own feelings — and to empathize with others.

Soft skills 💁
· Learning to negotiate (“I’ll be the doctor and you’ll be the patient!”)
· Active listening

Play gives rise to dialogues, monologues, new words, and whole new stories.

We make pretend-play a regular part of our routine, especially with the youngest children. As we’ve said, it’s a wonderful tool for child development — and a great way to practise English. Wonderful? Wonderful!
