We already miss our CEMS WN’21 conference and all of it's participants.

And here are some interesting figures about CEMS WN’21:
🔹46 participants were on the central panel session
🔹23 members on the public talk
🔹20 participants visited every skill seminar with CEMS ECTS

Almost 32% of members were foreigners. This is an increase YoY and we expect this trend to continue

1/3 of the participants are connected to the CEMS alliance and more than a half to GSOM

The program of the Conference allows the participant to choose from a variety of topics.

On the 2nd day two parallel sessions will be organized to discuss crucial and integral aspect of creating a business in the modern environment.

🔹Creating a Zero-Waste Business from Scratch

Among others, the growing attention to this topic found expression in the business models of major international companies that brought to the attention the concept of zero-waste management. During the lecture, we will find out what it takes for a company to go zero waste and how it could affect the everyday life of all of us. Speakers will represent a company that heavily engages in zero-waste management - IKEA.

There are many highly competitive industries in Russia: companies are fighting for consumer attention every day, creating diverse strategies and behaviours to stand out in oversaturated markets. In this session, we will bring together the senior executives of companies that successfully operate in such industries. The speakers will be encouraged to share their view on constant competition and explain how to build a strategy when you are surrounded by "sharks".

The second day of the Conference will start with the Panel Session - "The future of sustainable funding"

Dividends and earnings ceased to be the main factors in investing decision-making: investors all around the world started to pay attention to the social and ecological responsibility of a business. But how can these aspects be measured and converted into numbers?

This year, the topic of the conference is “The future is bright: How business transforms the world”, which reflects the emphasis on sustainability and an attempt to look past the pandemic.

At the CEMS WN’21 you will have a chance to solve real life business problems during skill seminars.

Skill seminars are aimed at acquiring and developing the competencies needed in the business environment. At the sessions, theory will be followed up by case studies where participants will be asked to apply their knowledge to real companies issues.

For CEMS students it is also a great opportunity to get 0.25 ECTS per seminar!

❗️It is allowed to participate in two skill seminars, and non-CEMS students can also register 😊

‼️The number of participants for each skill seminar is limited to 20 places, which are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to CEMS students. The speaker for this skill-seminar is Dr. Robert Reinhardt, sustainable business consultant, researcher, visiting lecturer & cross-disciplinary strategist with a track record of driving sustainable innovations in businesses and international organisations.

Join this seminar if you’d like to learn more about sustainable business models, their fallacies, and the actions that need to be taken. During the session, students will be offered real-life examples and invited to participate in case studies to assess the effectiveness of the SBMs of specific companies.

🔹 Strategies in times of crisis: How to perform in a new world

This seminar will be held by Dr. Moustafa Haj Youssef, a senior lecturer (associate professor) in international strategic management at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK and an experienced management and strategy consultant on various strategic moves such as: mergers and acquisitions, product, market and strategy development.

At this skill seminar you will learn how to embrace change in companies during crises, understand the role of business leaders and define possible response strategies on the example of Covid-19. The practical part of the skill seminar will be devoted to case studies of the strategic responses of Airbnb, Spotify, Bumble, and Unilever during the pandemic.
