PROFESSIONAL REHABILITATION CENTER TURNS 26 TODAY!!!
On Saturday morning, February 10, 1996, a revival reigned on the 26th line of Vasilyevsky Island. Cars with government and diplomatic numbers drove up to house number 9, guests gathered, television people fussed.
On this day, the grand opening of the Professional Rehabilitation Center took place. This was a significant event for St. Petersburg: a new technology for professional rehabilitation of disabled people, adopted in Europe and adapted to Russian realities, a joint Russian-German project.
In the invitation to opening it was written in two languages: "This institution will provide... over 300 people with disabilities have the opportunity to retrain and get a new, future-oriented specialty.... The rehabilitation center of St. Petersburg is being commissioned as the first modern rehabilitation institution in Russia, and thereby as a model for further development. "
The opening of the center was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Germany, the Mayor of St. Petersburg A. A. Sobchak, representatives of the City Administration, the Consul General of Germany in St. Petersburg, deputies of the Legislative Assembly.
Today, after 26 years, the Professional Rehabilitation Center remains true to the chosen path: to help a person who needs special support in getting an education, to get a new profession and find his place in life. Over the years, our center has trained over 10 thousand people in basic and additional educational programs.
We wish the Professional Rehabilitation Center prosperity and development. And we congratulate all those involved on the birthday of the center, wish them health, success, a lot of interesting ideas and projects and their brilliant embodiment!

WE ARE LEARNING ONLINE!
The teaching at St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "Professional Rehabilitation Center" is now online. This is a forced measure aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus and its new strains.
BUT! The school year continues. Both teachers and students understand that these are not vacations, but a new form of training. Over the past two years, enough experience has been gained to make classes high-quality and in an online - format. For each group, the optimal option was found - this is also due to different technical capabilities of training at home by students.
Various forms of communication are involved: Zoom, Scype, messengers, e-mail, phone. Always in touch with students are group curators, psychologists and social teachers.

27th of January- Leningrad Victory Day
On January 27, 1944, our city, which was cut off from the country for 872 days by the fascist ring, was completely liberated from the blockade. The blockade of Leningrad lasted 872 terrible days of endless bombing, hunger, inhuman suffering. During the blockade in Leningrad over 1 million Leningraders died. But Leningrad survived and won.
For stamina and courage in the days of the blockade, our city received the honorary title "Hero City of Leningrad."
Еhe exhibition of photographs "Blockade Leningrad" is organized at the Professional Rehabilitation Center. The students, together with the teacher-organizer Mrs. V.G. Ivan Danilenko, Elizaveta Panfilova and Grigory Poida performed brightly at the VII Open Festival of Readers "I talk to you under the whistle of bullets", dedicated to the Day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, and went on the second round of the festival. Ivan Danilenko read the poem by Vadim Schefner "My City," Elizaveta Panfilova read Yuri Voronov's poem "In the blockade days we never learned...," Grigory Poida performed at the festival with the poem "Blockade breadcrumbs" by Jan Brushtein.
The second round of the festival will be held on January 26, on the eve of Leningrad Victory Day.

January 18 - Day of breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad
This day is of particular importance to our city. 79 years ago, in distant 1943, on this day, a breakthrough of the fascist blockade of Leningrad was made. As a result of Operation Iskra, the troops of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts liberated the land corridor through which the railway was laid and communication with the Big Land was established.
In February, trains went to Leningrad along the new "Road of Life." The main step towards the liberation of our city was taken.

I was touched by an invisible ray...

The students of our center took part in the traditional creative competition among people with disabilities "The invisible ray touched me," which took place in library No. 4 of the centralized library system in Nevsky city district on December 4, 2021.
In the nomination "Vocal Skill" Mrs. Yakimchuk Catherine took II place, Mr. Poida Grigory and
Mr. Danilenko Ivan - in III place.
The KVN - team "PeRCy" and the theater studio "Together" of our center received the Special Prize of the competition.
The work Mrs. Goncharova Natalia the phyto-picture "Dreaming Forest" took 2nd place in the nomination "Applied Creativity". All students of our center who provided work for the competition received certificates of participants.

WE are 25! THE ANNIVERSARY YEAR ENDS
A solemn event dedicated to the completion of the anniversary year of the PRC. was held on 3 of December in the Professional Rehabilitation Center on line 26, 9. The festive events lasted all of 2021, and we very much hoped that at the end of the year there would be a big holiday, to which we would invite all our students, graduates and their parents. But Covid-19 and its associated restrictions intervened. But the HOLIDAY still took place, taking into account anti-covid rules.
Stanislav Aleksandrovich Timonov, Director of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "Vocational Rehabilitation Center," in his congratulations spoke briefly about the large and important role that our center plays in the life of people with disabilities. After all, over 25 years, over 10 thousand people have been trained at the Professional Rehabilitation Center, about half of our graduates have found work and are successfully working. The most active participants of the commemorative events of the anniversary year were awarded letters and memorable gifts.
Representatives of the Sports Center of Vasileostrovsky District came to our holiday to congratulate the employees and students of the Professional Rehabilitation Center on the successful delivery of GTO standards (Ready for labor and defense) and the receipt of gold GTO badges. Among the golden badges is the director of the center S.A. Timonov.
A quiz on the knowledge of St. Petersburg, Vasilyevsky Island and the history of the creation of our center was held for all quests. The most intelligent and active guests of the holiday received gifts.
Friends of the center came to our holiday with musical congratulations. Our KVN - team "PeRCy" created a wonderful atmosphere of the holiday, showing their fun blanks and ardent scenes.

FINANCIAL LITERACY: A GIFT FROM THE CENTRAL BANK
In accordance with the Strategy for Improving Financial Literacy in the Russian Federation for 2017-2023, approved by order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 25.09.2017 No. 2039-r, as well as with the aim of implementing the Action Plan ("roadmap") for the implementation of the Strategy for Improving Financial Literacy in the Russian Federation for 2017-2023, "approved by the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of Russia 03.12.2018 the Committee on Social Policy of St. Petersburg and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, conclude an Agreement on cooperation in the field of improving financial literacy of the population of St. Petersburg.
As part of the implementation of the Agreement, the Office of the Consumer Protection and Financial Services Service in the North-West Federal District of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation held an event for students of our center. The class dealt with a variety of issues: for example, what is finance. How important it is to be vigilant and not get caught in the tricks of fraudsters. The lesson was very informative and necessary. Students received souvenirs and memos on financial literacy as a gift.
The Office of the Consumer Protection and Financial Accessibility Service in the Northwest Federal District of the Central Bank donated a set of training materials on financial literacy as a gift to our center in honor of the 25th anniversary.

Trade union organization of the Professional Rehabilitation Center is 25 YEARS!
The trade union organization of the PRC is only a few months younger than the center itself. The Centre was opened in February 1996 and the trade union organization was founded in October 1996.
The trade union meeting of employees of the Professional Rehabilitation Center was dedicated to the glorious anniversary. The permanent head of the PRC trade union Mrs. Galina Semenovna Zemskova spoke about the activities of the trade union organization, summed up the results of 2021, outlined plans for the future.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Interregional Organization of the Trade Union of Employees of State Institutions and Public Services Mrs. Ilyicheva N.A. Natalya Anatolyevna congratulated the trade union organization of the PRC on its anniversary and presented its most active members with thanks and letters.
Special words of congratulations were expressed for the student of our center Mrs. Natalia Popova (group SR - 3). For active participation in trade union work, social life of the Professional Rehabilitation Center and high achievements in the studies a monthly scholarship of the Trade Union was appointed from September 01, 2021 to March 01, 2022 in accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the All-Russian Professional Union of Employees of State Institutions and Public Services of the Russian Federation.

WE... CONTINUE the KVN: THE STATUS ALLOWS

The KVN - team of our Professional Rehabilitation Center performed in the semifinals of the Integrated League of Special Status of the International Union of KVN “KVN VOI 2021” "The Status Allows" (Club of the cheerful and sharp-witted).

The game was especially important for both "PeRCy" and for all KVN-players: after all, 2021 is the year of the 60th anniversary of KVN on television (the first game of the "Club of Fun and Resourceful" took place on November 8, 1961) and the year of the 25th anniversary of the Professional Rehabilitation Center.

KVN for our participants is a great opportunity to realize, find friends and like-minded people, discover new talents, learn quickly generate ideas and improvise, find a beautiful way out of unexpected situations.
