Another academic year has finished at the Linguistic Center. We asked our international students how it was and what impressions they had left.
βοΈ Haomiao, student from China: βI have had countless new experiences. At first it was a little difficult to adapt to the new learning environment and cultural standards, but I soon made friends and began to appreciate the unique atmosphere of the university. The teachers here are serious and responsible. My level of Russian language has improved significantly. It was a year full of new knowledge and challenges!β
βοΈ Tushar, student from India: βMy teacher Ludmila helped me a lot. She made a special program for me to learn faster and always adjusted it to my pace. Thanks to her, I passed the Russian language exam for the residence permit from the first time.
Studying at university is much more interesting than in apps or online courses - I felt like a real student again!β
βοΈ Yongjin, student from South Korea: βI took a 5-month Russian course at the university and it was a great experience! The teacher explained the material in a very accessible way and with sincere passion. Thanks to the systematic approach, I was able to understand the basics of grammar and significantly improve my vocabulary. Especially valuable was the use of a variety of teaching materials from modern textbooks, audio recordings with live speech, and informative videos. Each lesson was well structured and filled with useful information. Now I feel that I have gained a solid foundation for further language learning. Special thanks to the teacher for her professionalism and attentive attitude to students!β

The academic year has been an eventful one for me in many ways. One of the biggest changes I experienced was the transition to learning Russian language. I love the beautiful university and teachers so very kindly, good, accommodating and very motivating and very understanding and I also love place in this city and country so very safe and clean and good nature and good season and most of all I love Russian people - they very kindness and understanding.
I have learned a lot about myself, my strength and weaknesses and have grown both academically and personality.β
βοΈ Mark, a student from UK: "This is the fifth year I have been studying Russian! I really enjoy my lessons! With my teacher Yulia we continue the important rules of Russian language and grammar. But my favorite part is speaking and conversation. This year I am learning so much more about Russian culture and history.
We even have lessons on Russian songs in the style of bards. I am also reading and learning Pushkin's poems for the first time! I thank the university and my teacher for making learning Russian such an interesting experience!'
