And the winner is…
International Competition
We have decided to give the NUFF international award to a film that shows
how quickly a situation between young and old can change for the worse. This film is emotional and it made us think about how we would deal with this situation.
The winner of the international NUFF award goes to

Nordic competition
The jury wants to express our gratitude to the filmmakers and the organizers.
The level of ambition, storytelling and technical skills are impressive. There are many different stories to be told, in many different ways, and it is hard to be the judges of quality, when the films vary so much in genres.
There are interesting documentaries and charming portraits, and strong fictional films, and some very playful and experimental ones.
We as a jury have chosen to give an award in the three different age groups, and one overall winner from all the films.
But first we will give a honourable mention.
Honourable mention:
Bestefar - Grandpa

This is a unique experimental short film, which establishes universe expressed thru the thoughts of a little girl, experiencing death for the first time. Strong use of visual expressions suits the text in a sublime way without being to “flashy”. This ambitious and artistic short film lasts only two minutes, but manages to fill them with lots of information and to tell a story.

The Jolly adventure of the men who travelled in time

This is a jolly little film, and certainly an adventure. A playful movie, set in a toy’s world. Well animated, a strong visual production with many details, and well matched sound production, shows a lot of promising storytelling talent.
Age group 19- 21
Gryning - Stockholm daybreak

A lovely scene is unfolding right before our eyes. Confinement in time and space - it's just a moment at a spot - makes the film very strong and focused. Incredibly well played; there is an electrical energy between the characters. With evocative lightning and photo the result is simply beautiful.
Age group 22-26
Bland Bröder - Brothers between

A calm and quiet film about two half brothers talking about their family, past, future and cheese. Excellent and realistic acting, a good script and confident directing. It’s seems to be a combination of improvisation and scripted story that makes it into a dialogue driven movie which keeps the audience focused. This film stands out from the ordinary.

A small, recognizable story is build to become a compelling and perfectly shaped film. The characters are so credible, and so very convincingly acted, that we easily experience all their emotions with them. Impressive craftsmanship in every aspect and smart use of technology, which is both a blessing and a curse for anyone who misses someone far away. But first and foremost so vividly told, you literally feel the bittersweet taste linger on your tongue.
