๐ฃ๏ธ Kirill V. Vyshinsky's master class for IR and SGIA students! ๐
๐จโ๐ซ On April 17, Kirill V. Vyshinsky, journalist, editor-in-chief of Sputnik radio station, member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, held a master class in MGIMO University.
๐๏ธ The conversation was moderated by Alexander K. Bobrov, Dean of the MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs, Associate Professor of the MGIMO Diplomacy Department, creator and host of the Personae Gratae project on Sputnik radio station.
๐ During the meeting, Mr. Vyshinsky shared the most interesting cases from his professional journey and expressed his opinion on a number of issues related to the activities of the media companies, international journalism and media literacy today.
๐จโ๐ The main organizers of the event were the Diplomatic Club named after A.G. Karlov and the English-speaking student club Future World Diplomats.

๐ SGIA Open Doors Day Recap! ๐ค
๐๏ธ On April 11th, the MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs hosted an Open Doors Day: first- in Russian, then- in English.
๐ Alexander K. Bobrov, the Dean of the School, introduced the two bachelorโs programs for the 2024-2025 academic year, highlighting the distinctive aspects of MGIMOโs only English-language faculty.
๐บ๐ณ Special guest Vladimir V. Kuznetsov, Head of the UN Information Centre in Moscow (UNIC), told about the main directions of career development of MGIMO graduates in the UN system.
๐ฆ๐ช Another special guest, Nikolay V. Elistratov, CEO of the BERINGOFF Training and Education Centre in Dubai (UAE), showcased the Spring School at Dubai Knowledge Centre, an offer exclusive to SGIA graduates.
๐ซ Brendan Henderson, a representative from SGIA Partner School Brookes Moscow International IB School, expressed gratitude for SGIA's direct enrollment pathway for students with international secondary education backgrounds.
๐จโ๐ซ Some of the leading lecturers of the faculty elaborated on the educational process and the advantages of studying at SGIA. The list of the prominent speakers included:

๐ฉโ๐ The sessions featured outstanding SGIA students who had previously studied in Russia and abroad through international secondary education programs (IB, A-Level, SAT, etc.), international students from over 30 countries worldwide, as well as students admitted through the Russian Unified State Exam results. The students shared their personal experiences and insights into student life at SGIA.
โBoth segments concluded with engaging Q&A sessions where SGIA representatives addressed inquiries regarding the enrollment process.

๐ The MGIMO School of Government and International Affairsโ Open Doors Day will be held tomorrow.
๐ค At the meeting, the Dean of SGIA, A.K. Bobrov, will tell the applicants and their parents about the advantages of MGIMOโs most multicultural faculty, the specifics of the admission process to the bachelorโs degree programs in 2024, and the employment prospects of graduates, while the professors and the most active students of the School will share their impressions of the educational process.

๐ท๐บ SGIA Students at Russia Expo! ๐ท
๐๏ธ On March 14th, the students of the MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs were invited to the International Exhibition-Forum "Russiaโ that is taking place on the territory of VDNKh in Moscow. The exhibition is dedicated to the achievements of Russia in various industries and is a platform for the country's largest educational, business, cultural and entertainment events: all 89 regions of Russia, as well as federal ministries, corporations and public organizations are participating.
๐ค The tour program was structured in a way where each participant was able to get a full understanding of VDNKh, its exhibits and Russia's achievements in the XXI century in such fields as the economy, science, culture, and art. Dmitry V. Polikanov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, kindly gave SGIA students a guided tour, which allowed the students to delve into the centuries of Russian history and gain new knowledge about different regions of the country.
๐น At the end of the tour, SGIA students participated in a quiz dedicated to the exhibition, in which Nicholas Baretto, 1st-Year student of SGIAโs master program, International Diplomacy and Political Regional Studies, demonstrated his newfound knowledge and won a prize. Besides that, he and another SGIA master student, Lamin Sanneh, gave interviews in which they shared their impressions of the exhibition and talked about their experience of studying at SGIA MGIMO and living in Russia as foreign students.

๐ท๐บ SGIA at WYF 2024! ๐
From March 1st to March 7th, more than 20 SGIA students, professors, and staff from both Russia and 16 other countries attended the World Youth Festival 2024 on the federal territory โSiriusโ near Sochi. The official SGIA delegation included Director Alexander K. Bobrov, Vice-Dean Vasily. E. Taran, and professor Olga V. Lebedeva.
๐ Today, SGIA is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students!
๐ฎ๐น The World Youth Festival closing ceremony, which was attended by many esteemed guests, such as the President of the Russia Vladimir Putin, began with a video dedicated to SGIAโs 4th-Year student from Italy, Irene Cecchini. In the video partly voiced by Russian actor Konstantin Khabensky, she talks about her dream - to establish intercultural relations between Russia and Italy. Irene herself was present at the ceremony in the front row as a guest of honour.
๐ธ๐ช Olivia Ahlund, a 4th-Year SGIA student from from Sweden, became a participant of the closed meeting of President Putin with foreign students in Russia. During an informal exchange, Olivia told the President how exciting her studies at SGIA were. Although she had not previously considered Russia as a place of residence or study, as she herself noted, after starting her studies at MGIMO she found herself in "her" place, going as far as becoming the President of the SGIA-based English-speaking Future World Diplomats Student Club.
๐ช๐ฌ Karim Shaaban, a 3rd-Year SGIA student from Egypt became the Head of the Egyptian Delegation to the WYF 2024, speaking at the panel session "Youth Audit of Russia-Africa Relations", where participants expressed their views on the impact of the Russia-Africa 2023 Interstate Forum on the development of interstate processes in the modern world.
๐ฉ๐ฐ Vanessa Sevidova, a 4th-Year SGIA student from Denmark became a part of the WYF-volunteers team, without whom no event would have taken place. As Vanessa herself noted, the Festival allowed her to meet many from all over the world.

๐ท๐บ SGIA Deanโs lecture at RUSSIA EXPO! ๐ท๐บ
๐ฌ On March 10th, Alexander K. Bobrov, Dean of the MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs (SGIA), Associate Professor of the Diplomacy Department, held an interactive lecture "Diplomacy in the Big World. Reflection of global challenges in Russia's foreign policy" as part of the marathon of the Russian society "Znanie" in Pavilion 19 "Atom" of the international exhibition RUSSIA EXPO that is taking place at VDNH in Moscow.
๐ฃ๏ธ In his lecture, which became an integral part of the information and educational work of the MGIMO administration ahead of the Russian presidential election on 15-17 March, 2024, Dr. Bobrov elaborated on the system of global and regional priorities of Russia's foreign policy aimed at countering a set of both traditional and new challenges and threats.
โIn the Q&A session that followed the lecture, Dr. Bobrov spoke not only about current aspects of Russian foreign policy and diplomacy, but also highlighted the main issues related to applying for various undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes at MGIMO-University.

๐ Wrapping up the World Youth Festival, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin engaged in a lively discussion with students hailing from various parts of the globe, pursuing their studies at Russian universities.
๐ Among these bright minds was Olivia Ahlund, a fourth-year student at the MGIMO School of Government and International Affairs. Originally from Sweden, Olivia holds the esteemed position of president of SGIAโs English-speaking student club Future World Diplomats.
