Just finished the new post on the instrumental case.

Let's explore the instrumental case in use. It will help to learn to define which words to use in the Instrumental case, and which don’t.

Constructions «кто, как не…», «что, как не …», «куда, как не …», etc. include НЕ, but they mean “+” (not “-”).

«Кто, как не…», «что, как не …», «куда, как не …» и т.п. В этих конструкциях есть НЕ, но обозначают они не “-”, а “+”.

Ездить, поехать and съездить. These three verbs have similar meanings, nevertheless they describe different situations. Let’s practice to distinguish them!
Who will come up with examples is молодец!

#ГлаголыДвижения
Ездить, поехать и съездить. Эти три глагола очень похожи по значению, тем не менее они обозначают разные ситуации. Давайте потренируемся их различать!
Кто придумает примеры, тот молодец!

I have noticed, that students often say: “Ходить is for regular action, and идти is for right now»😱😱😱. But that is NOT true!

In fact, both ходить and идти are imperfective verbs. It means, they both may mean a regular action, as well as a process, movement at the moment.🤓

(Other pairs ездить/ехать, плавать/плыть, летать/лететь, водить/вести, возить/вести etc. work the same way)

The verb «ездить» (↔) usually takes the form «езжать», when prefixed: приезжать (Imperf.), заезжать (Imperf.), выезжать (Imperf.) etc. But you can meet both «съезжать» and «съездить» with the с- prefix. These verbs have different meanings:
1) The pair «съезжать (Imperf.) – съехать (Perf.)» means the downside movement.
2) The verb «съездить» is the Perfective pair to the verb «ездить» (Imperf).

And what about other motion verbs with the с- prefix?

Глагол «ездить» (↔) с префиксами обычно принимает форму «езжать»: приезжать (НСВ), заезжать (НСВ), выезжать (НСВ) и т.д. Но с префиксом с- можно встретить и «съезжать» и «съездить», и значение у этих слов – разное:
1) Пара «съезжать (НСВ) – съехать (СВ)» – обозначает движение вниз.
2) Глагол «съездить» - форма СВ для глагола «ездить» (НСВ).

А как у других глаголов движения?

Prefixes added to the usually form perfective and imperfective aspects. ПО is an exception. Both «походить» and «поехать» are perfective verbs. But they have different meanings.
Can you write more examples?

#ГлаголыДвижения
Обычно префиксы с глаголами движения образуют формы НСВ и СВ. ПО - исключение. «Походить» и «поехать» - глаголы СВ. Оба. Но значение у них разное.
Придумаете свои примеры?
