→ Sick of everything.
(nothing specific. just... everything.)

🌱 Хочется чего-то другого.
→ I want something different.
(no plan. no idea what. just not this.)

🚫 Так жить нельзя.
→ One cannot live like this.
(used for big problems and bad coffee equally.)

⚡ Пора что-то менять. С понедельника.
→ Time to change something. Starting Monday.
("starting Monday" — the most Russian two words ever.)

🔥 Всё, хватит так жить.
→ Enough. Tomorrow I start a new life.
(Sunday night energy. Monday will tell.)

Russians don't just want change.
They announce it. Dramatically. Every week. 🌀

Literally: if we're going out, then we're REALLY going out.
= go big or go home.

Russians say this when a decision is made.
No going back. No "maybe just a little."

🍕 Заказали пиццу на всех? Гулять так гулять.
🎂 Взяли торт в пятницу? Гулять так гулять.
🌙 Легли спать в 3 ночи? Гулять так гулять.

It works for big nights out.
And for eating the whole cake alone on the sofa.

Because гулять так гулять is not about the scale.
It's about the commitment. 🎉

They have a whole scale for it.

→ Somehow I don't buy it.
(polite doubt. maybe you're wrong. maybe they are.)

🚿 Заливает.
→ Laying it on thick. Making it up.
(exaggerating with enthusiasm. harmless but annoying.)

🧚 Сказки рассказывает.
→ Spinning fairy tales.
(the story is so unbelievable it belongs in a children's book.)

😤 Врёт как дышит.
→ Lies like breathing.
(not a habit. a lifestyle. a personality trait.)

🎯 Поймал(а) на лжи.
→ Caught in a lie.
(no more words needed. it's over.)

Russians don't call you a liar.
They just describe exactly how you do it. 🎯

😮‍💨 Хватит ныть.
→ Enough whining. Stop moaning.
(ныть = to whine, to moan — one of the best Russian verbs)

💪 Возьми себя в руки.
→ Pull yourself together.
(literally: take yourself in your hands. very hands-on approach to feelings.)

🤷 Ну и что теперь?
→ So what now? What are you going to do about it?
(stops the complaining. starts the action.)

Russians don't do endless sympathy.
They do solutions.

It sounds harsh. It's actually love. 🤷

→ What took you so long?
(with a smile = caring. without = dangerous.)

👑 Ждём-с.
→ We are waiting. (with full dignity)
(a suffix from the 19th century. still works. still iconic.)

Russians don't just wait.

The answer?

"Пустяки, дело житейское." 🫧

= Trifles. Just one of those things.

пустяки = no big deal, trifles
дело житейское = it happens, that's life

Russians use this when something went wrong,
and they've decided it doesn't deserve their energy.

🚂 Missed the train? Пустяки, дело житейское.
🍳 Burnt dinner? Пустяки, дело житейское.
📅 It's Monday again? Пустяки, дело житейское.

It's not denial. It's a choice.

→ Leave me in peace.
(покой = peace. you want it. now.)

🚫 Не трогай меня.
→ Don't bother me.
(short. firm. no questions.)

😤 Отстань.
→ Back off.
(one word. maximum effect. very Friday.)

Russians don't ghost. They just say it. 🚪

Not "I don't like it."
Not "I'm not a fan."

I. Cannot. Bear. It.

Use it for things:
→ терпеть не могу понедельники
= I can't stand Mondays
→ терпеть не могу холод
= I can't bear the cold

Use it for situations:
→ терпеть не могу, когда опаздывают
= I can't stand when people are late
→ терпеть не могу, когда врут
= I can't stand being lied to

Strong. Honest. Very Thursday energy.

And they get very creative very fast.

😬 Неловко.
→ A bit awkward. Mild. Survivable.

🔴 Мне так стыдно.
→ I'm so embarrassed.
(face red. can't make eye contact.)

🕳️ Хоть сквозь землю провались.
→ I wanted to sink into the floor.
(the floor didn't open. sadly.)

🔥 Сгораю со стыда.
→ Burning with shame.
(sent the wrong message. you know the feeling.)

👀 Не знаю куда глаза девать.
→ I don't know where to look.
(when someone else's drama happens right in front of you.)

Russians don't just get embarrassed.
They fall through floors and burst into flames. 😂
