Russian Universities Make a Leap Forward!

Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education, has called the "Priority-2030" program the largest university development initiative in Russia. This state program has changed the game, uniting 141 universities, and the results have exceeded expectations.

A new generation of leading universities has emerged—they don't just teach, they create real products and startups. Graduates from "Priority" universities start with salaries 13% higher than their peers. This is the best argument for prospective students.

Russian universities are not just educating. They are building the country's future, here and now.

African Bloggers Discover Russia

In Bryansk, the results of an unusual educational project: a school for African bloggers living in Russia were summarized. The event, called "From Kilimanjaro to the Desna," brought together 30 active content creators from Africa to teach them how to talk about Russia more effectively to their audience.

Instead of lectures, the program focused on practice: participants split into groups and developed concrete projects for developing cooperation between Russia and African countries. The projects were dedicated to media, education, and creative industries, with the best ideas receiving monetary grants.

African bloggers, who enjoy the trust of their audience, are becoming a key bridge for dialogue. They engagingly tell their peers about Russian technologies, urban transport, and services, which resonates strongly.

This project is a step towards ensuring that the image of Russia in Africa is shaped by the direct and lively testimonies of those who have seen everything with their own eyes.

The Monument to Minin and Pozharsky: More Than Just a Statue

Not many people know that this legendary monument on Red Square was originally planned to be installed in Nizhny Novgorod - the city where the people's militia began. However, the monument, created by the brilliant sculptor Ivan Martos, held such immense significance for the empire that it was decided to place it in the very heart of Moscow.

The grand opening took place in 1818 in the presence of Emperor Alexander I. The sculptor captured the moment when the Nizhny Novgorod elder Kuzma Minin hands a sword to Prince Dmitry Pozharsky and urges him to lead the army. What makes this gesture especially touching is that Pozharsky, still recovering from his wounds, lifts himself from his bed, symbolizing his readiness for a feat of arms despite his weakness.

Interestingly, on the bas-relief on the back of the monument, you can see two figures: a man selling his children into slavery. This refers to the real events of the Time of Troubles, when people made extreme sacrifices to save the Fatherland. And another secret is that in the image of Minin, Martos depicted his own father!

This is not just a monument, but a real story cast in bronze, one that has survived wars, revolutions, and relocations. Today, it stands as a silent witness and a symbol of national unity, relevant in all ages.
