We are starting a unique club that is being run by three british business guys, who between them run an English language business and a business skills and personal development training company. The focus of the club will be to actually help people improve their English language skills, and help them develop work and life skills so they can achieve greater career success.

I was kindly invited to give a talk at the Moscow Business Toastmasters Club which was a great experience. If English is not your native language and you have to do any kind of public speaking or presentations, or want to hear and see how other people, who are not professional speakers, present it is a great club to join. And it is done in true Toastmasters format where you are timed, evaluated and you even get to through the Toastmasters program. I was kindly asked by Kate Lapteva founder of the newly formed Moscow Business Toastmasters Club, if I would give a talk at their meeting tonight. If you haven’t registered yet, please do as I am sure, you will find this club a useful place if you want to see and listen to Non Native English speakers deliver interesting business related talks and practice their presenting skills.

Now whilst Kate asked me to do an inspirational, motivational type talk, tonight’s presentations will be “Creating a healthy work environment.” A subject that is very close to my heart and fascinates me. This is mostly because over the last few years it has increased in popularity and we centre most thinking around the view that a healthy workplace environment is a vital factor that influences employee motivation and happiness. How productive and efficient, and the all-round wellbeing of staff and managers, all goes down to their working environment and how they interact.. but I believe there is something else that most companies do not recognize 😱

The colors we choose to wear say as much about us as they do about how we are perceived. So understanding color and understanding style are synonymous. 🌈 Colors affect how we perceive things like emotions, thoughts, and events. Thus, color is one of the most integral influences in life. This fact is crucial when learning to become stylish.
But taking this one step further and asking the question “Does the color of your clothes influence your mood and how others perceive you?” is for many an often unanswered or rarely asked question. For me it does! I tend to favour blues, purple, greens and browns and the lighter shades of each of those colors.
But are those colors right for me and are the projecting the right image and creating the mood and self image I need to feel confidant and self assured.
To go a little deeper you need to understand the basics of Color theory’s role in the perception of color. Each color correlates to how we perceive certain things.
Here are some examples: ❤️ Red: Danger, passion, anger, immediacy, love
💙 Blue: Trust, calm, stability
💛 Yellow: Attention, warmth, energy
💚 Green: Nature, wealth, envy
🧡 Orange: Health, youth, attraction
💜 Purple: Luxury, royalty, mystery, creativity

Very important is knowing what colours compliment each other, their perception and meaning they subconsciously create.
But also knowing bad color combinations is vital.
Therefore color matching is an important part of our image and personal style and brand. It informs what we choose to say to the world about our style as well as how we want others to see us.
And for men there are also all the other questions that you need to ask yourself like “What are the best color combinations for accessories like ties, cufflinks, pocket handkerchiefs?” Using color theory can help you create the perfect outfit and look by getting to know.. ✅ what associated colours work well? ✅ what complimentary colours to combine when you are looking for a bold, attention-grabbing look as complimentary colours make a noticeable contrast. ✅ How do you use Triadic colors, which are three colors equidistant from each other on the wheel and make for a balanced outfit that
