Nafta College took part in a biggest annual SPE event - ATCE-2019, held Sep 30 - Oct 2 in Calgary.

Nafta lecturer Vladimir Krichevsky on behalf on Nafta principal dr. Arthur Aslanyan presented a paper "PetroCup Training and Skill Testing Facility in Field Development and Production Management" (SPE-196095-MS)

The paper describes efficiency statistics of teams which have been participating in PetroCup sessions all over the world in the last several years, along with conclusions that highlight most positive and negative industry trends in multi-disciplinary development planning teamwork. Presentation was well received, a lot of questions asked about PetroCup implementation for building professional and successful upstream engineering teams.

In Surgut, more than fifty participants of Ugra oil companies and students of core specialties met at one site to improve their skills.

4 teams - 4 different asset teams with their problems and in an unprofitable state. The task of the participants is to go through 7 years of the field’s life in just 2 days and make 7 "shots". These are complexes of measures that will solve the problems of the field and bring it to the greatest profit.

19–20 APRIL 2018, PetroCup was held during Student Scientific Conference on Mathematical modeling and Information technologies (SMIT) 2018. A total of 20 student, 4 teams from 4 universities (Saint Petersburg Mining University, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Almetyevsk State Oil Institute, Kazan Federal University) participated. Thanks to the participants for their enthusiasm and eagerness to win!
