The Bolshoi Ballet Academy

132 years ago, the premiere of the ballet "The Nutcracker" took place at the Mariinsky Theatre. And today we would like to introduce you to Sergei Kalinich, who first saw this performance as a little boy before entering the Moscow State Academic Choreographic Academy. Now, studying in his final year (Valery Viktorovich Anisimov's class), the student is honing every detail of the Prince's part and preparing to go on stage.

Sergei told us about his guidelines, working with Maria Polunina and his responsibility to the audience in this video.

Yesterday, one of the most long-awaited moments of preparation for the ballet "The Nutcracker" arrived - for the first time in many years, an orchestra appeared in the orchestra pit at the Moscow State Academic Choreographic Academy's Educational Theatre!
We are glad to see our friends - the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Yuri Abramovich Bashmet and conductor Igor Lvovich Razumovsky!
We are excitedly awaiting tomorrow and our first joint rehearsal!
