RUDN University Ethnofest 2025 — it was about unity through diversity

Sri Lankan student association of rudn presented a cultural exhibition where every detail told the story of our country: from traditions to the atmosphere of real island vibes.

For us, this is not just participation, it is an opportunity to share our culture, create a dialogue and find a connection between people from different parts of the world.

On the magical evening of April 18th, the heart of Moscow lit up with Sri Lankan spirit! 🇱🇰🇷🇺

The Sri Lankan Students' Association of Moscow organized “Moscow අවුරුදු” 🐦‍⬛ – our vibrant celebration of Sinhala & Tamil New Year - 2026. 🌾

With the gracious support of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Moscow, Moscow Sri Lankan Business Committee, Sechenov State Medical University & Tver State Medical University, we turned Moscow into a home away from home 🏡

🎶 Melodies of our motherland
💃 Rhythms of traditional dance
🎭 Tales brought to life through drama

Students from different universities across Moscow came together as one family, painting the night with color,our culture and pure joy 🙃💫

And what’s Aurudu without a taste of home? 🍯🥮 Our guests savored mun kewum, kokis, and pol toffee – each bite a sweet wave of nostalgia 🇱🇰✨

👑 The spotlight shone bright on our "Moscow Aurudu Kumara & Kumariya" pageant! Congratulations to our shining winners who walked away with hearts full of pride and arms full of precious gifts 🎁👏

From the beats of the "Rabana" 🪘 to the warmth of shared laughter 🌞 – April 18th wasn’t just a concert. It was "Home", thousands of miles away. ❤️
