*Start early*- do not wait for the deadlines, start reading requirements of university program, research area and prepare documents accordingly.
2- Better to Get your *passport* before applying.
3- Get your degrees, transcripts attested form respective board, IBCC, HEC etc.
Not having documents attested can cause serious tension after you are selected so do this ASAP.

You will need following documents for applying, prepare them and keep updating them:
i- CV in *Europass* format: Follow this link to make your CV online instead of asking for a template (https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/editors/en/cv/compose).
Don’t forget to add a short description of master’s thesis in CV and information of 2 referees.
ii- *Research Proposal*: It is good if you have a new idea, otherwise you can use your future work of your master’s thesis. Structure your proposal as (Introduction, State of the art, Objectives, Proposed methodology, Expected Outcomes, References etc).
iii- *Master’s Thesis Summary*: Write abstract, methodology and conclusion of your master’s thesis.
iv- *Letter of motivation* At some places separate LOM is required and in some cases they require it to be added in start of research proposal. Take your time to prepare this document, write what you really are and do not just copy paste from internet.
v- *Reference Letters*
You can get general reference letters from referees, but mostly universities require letters to be uploaded directly by referees. One of the referee should be your supervisor so he can defend your research capability and others can be any professor having a good research profile.
vi- Get *English proficiency certificate* from your last institute.
vii- Scanned copies of your passport, BS, MS transcript and degrees.
5- It is better to prepare documents in LaTeX, otherwise you can use MS Word also but try to keep your document presentable with no spelling or grammar mistake.
4- As Italian universities list is uploaded in this group, keep track of its versions.
Start shortlisting universities based on your course of interest.
It is better to make a document in which you will add relevant universities along with their deadlines.
There is usually given a link and date of result announcement in the call, add them also in document and keep on visiting them because you will not get any email from them if shortlisted for the interview.
5- Read requirements mentioned in the call carefully.
