Chinese at Heritage
Learning Chinese in school opens doors to new opportunities. Understanding Chinese language enhances intercultural understanding and enriches cultural experience. Also speaking Chinese is beneficial for future careers in the international field.
Learning languages that are so different from English helps develop the ability to adapt to new conditions. And of course it's a great opportunity to broaden horizons and explore Chinese culture.

Year 4 students completed progress test in Chinese! 🇨🇳👍😊 They did very well! Well done!

Year 5 learned to draw a scientific diagram.🤩

For that, we took kiwi, cut it, drew everything we could see and labeled all the parts of the fruit. It was fun!🥝

☀ What an amazing event we had on Friday! We hosted our Charity Fair “The Volunteers to Help Orphans Charitable Foundation”.

🥳 Our students brought handmade gifts: toys, soaps, knitted bags, pieces of art and many other things that were sold to our school community. Thanks to you we raised 52 000 rubles.

👍 The next step is purchasing hygiene products for orphans and passing them to the Volunteers.

🤝 Thank you for you support and participation.

🌎 Celebrating the beginning of the Spring is a happy and joyous Russian tradition.

🌻 Yesterday Heritage School held an event-filled celebration of Maslenitsa! Kids of all ages had a chance to participate in sports activities outside, sang traditional Russian songs and of course ate tasty pancakes, prepared by our Heritage Kitchen Team! 🥞

🥳 We all were happy to enjoy these outdoor activities and unite this frosty, but sunny day! ☀

Welcome, Spring!

☀️ Can you imagine how huge Solar System is and how far Jupiter and Neptune are from our shining Star? And how can common things be used to show the space and its enormous size?

🌎 During the Science lesson Year 5 created the model of the Solar System.
🤩 We used toilet paper and markers to draw Sun and planets, where each planet’s location on the paper corresponds to their location in our solar system 🪐

This week at Heritage International School, our Value of the Week is HELPFULNESS!

"We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone"

So few of our achievements are truly our own. We all depend upon the help of others, and we are learning this week that being helpful is not only a nice thing to do - it is a fundamentally human act.

Mr Matthew: "Help can come in so many forms. Teachers help their pupils to understand new things, children help each other when they are feeling down, I help my baby son by giving him his food and his bath, and my colleagues help me by doing the things that I cannot do on my own.

Be helpful – helpfulness is what makes us a strong and successful society and ultimately what leads to happiness!"

As the British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli once said, "Through perseverance many people win success out of what seemed destined to be certain failure."

Heritage Value of the Week is PERSEVERANCE.

😎 Intelligence, talents and skills are all vitally important to have, but it is perseverance which brings great achievement from these values. Without perseverance, we would have no great inventions - no aeroplanes, no computers, no advanced medical treatment, no space travel. Each one of these great achievements has come after their inventors tried and failed hundreds of times but kept trying until they succeeded.

😎 Heritage International School, Sokolniki Campus, has been awarded Cambridge Professional Development Centre status by Cambridge Assessment International Education and is now approved to offer the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching Bilingual Learners, and the Cambridge International Certificate in Educational Leadership, professional development programmes for all teachers and leaders in the Heritage Education Group.
