FINAL DAY
Did you ever find yourself waiting a lifetime for an event that goes by in a second? Today was probably one of those moments for our participants.
For the last two weeks the students and their mentors were working hard on their final projects. And today they finally got an opportunity to present them to the jury. As you already know, only 5 projects out of 10 could be selected to become part of the final online course. And we cannot even imagine how difficult it was for the experts to decide!
So, let us congratulate the winners: teams ‘Unity’, ‘6 Darias’, ‘Move chut’-chut’, ’.com’ and ‘Storm’! Your presentations were not only highly elaborated but also very creative. Moreover, team ‘Storm’ was named the best in terms of team work, and ‘Move chut’-chut’ received the audience choice award. We are so proud of your accomplishments!
And with a heavy heart we have to tell you one more thing. It was the last day of RANEPA International Summer Campus 2021. We strongly believe it is not the end, so, we don’t say ‘Goodbye’, we say ‘See you soon’. Stay hungry for new knowledge and be brave! And one day your ideas will change the world!

NEW INTERACTION
Do you still remember good old days when communication via Zoom seemed unusual? Sounds unbelievable, but it’s only been two years since such platforms became a permanent and convenient way of interaction. There are no doubts that nowadays digitalization is a driver of the world’s progress.
There are the whole new industries that appeared thanks to digitalization. One of them is e-sports. And today our participants attended the final lecture by Roman Dvoryankin, ‘Maincast’ Business Development Director in Russia. The expert shared his opinion on the topic of new digital professions and explained why esports is a promising career choice.
In the afternoon the students also had a chance to have fun and play Dragon Game. Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of it. In fact, it is a well-known Crocodile game adapted to the Summer Campus atmosphere.
And how are the projects going? Well, Friday schedule allowed teams to work on the team presentations twice, and they also have full weekend ahead to polish the materials, rehearse and show us the result. We are sure, it will be brilliant!
Have a nice weekend and don’t forget to rest!

Imagine a world where every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. Well, we already live in this world!
Today the participants had an incredible opportunity to meet the speakers who shared their valuable experience in the area of human interaction in the modern society.
Firstly, RISC participants discussed the topic of leadership with Bjorn Stenvers, General Director of the Eye Care Foundation. What makes a future leader? Why is it important to understand your own identity? Bjorn gave answers to these and many other questions.
One more lecture was devoted to human resources in modern times and their global value. Josep Bertran, Professor of International Relations University Pompeu Fabra Barcelona, RANEPA Moscow expressed his personal opinion on the global changes.
Inspired by the lectures, the students took part in two team work sessions and discussed the upcoming projects defense.

TEAM PROJECTS
The Summer Campus is not only about lectures and cultural events. One of the most important parts of it is teamwork.
This year’s task for all the teams is to create an online course which correlates with the main topic of RISC - “New Realities of Human and Personal Interaction”.
Each team has to write a script for one of the modules and then ‘sell’ it to the audience with a help of a short video teaser. These are the topics the students need to cover:
- Managing distributed team
- Motivation in a team
- The principles of teamwork
- Organizing work process
- Evaluating team performance
After the presentation the judges will choose 5 best presentations and integrate these modules into the course.
We know the teams are working really hard on their projects and we can’t wait to see the results. So, good luck!

DAY 7: TRENDS IN EDUCATION
Welcome to another colorful day at the Summer Campus!
In the modern world businesses either go digital or go home. So, the day started with the lecture by Alexandra Tsygankova, E-commerce manager, Coca-Cola HBC Russia. What are the latest changes in the e-commerce area? How they might affect human relations and economics? The speaker answered all the question on this challenging topic.
In the afternoon Daria Chernikova, Deputy Director, Scientific, and Educational Center for Urban Studies and Regional Development of TSU shared her opinion on the University Campus evolution. Now close your eyes and imagine the university of the future. What images are coming to your mind?
In fact, today was a very emotional day at RISC. The students wrote letters to the participants of the future and put them into a special time capsule. We have to admit your wishes brought us to tears. And then all the students had an opportunity to relax and have fun at the evening event.
We hope these moments will stay in your hearts forever. Be brave and enjoy every moment. After all, as our favorite quote on the way to the Sputnik hall says, time doesn’t like to be wasted.

DAY 4: CULTURE
Today RISC participants had an amazing opportunity to dive deeper into Tatar culture and to visit the capital of the Republic - Kazan!
The Kazan Kremlin, Kul Sharif Mosque, Old Tatar Settlement, and finally the biggest extreme park in Russia - URAM. Sounds like a perfect tour, right? And yes, we understand how difficult it was not to stop by every souvenir shop selling ‘chak-chak’ and other delicious traditional sweets. So, good job!
After the tour the students had some time to relax and play by the pool. It helped them to boost their energy and prepare for almost 3 hours of team work. Today we asked them to present their ideas to Sam Potolicchio. During the consultation Sam analyzed each team’s project and gave them some valuable advice.
We hope you also had fun at the ‘board game’ evening: took some funny pictures and beat your competitors at chess. Now have some rest and be ready for a day full of events that awaits us tomorrow.
